my original plan was to save up and buy invincible, but now I really don't give a crap.

been buying selling using professions mostly, but i stay out of glyphs due to the major timesink that it is.

Nice. I've done a couple of heroics on beta but otherwise largely avoided it. I don't want to burn out before its even released.

In other news, we are moving to Blackrock. It was decided that being the crowning jewel in a pile of turd (Dreadmaul) wasn't worth it any more. I wanted to go back to Frostmourne, but I think I was the only one lol.

You're moving to BLACKROCK just before an xpac? Bad choice by the guild man, I hope they're prepared for the 1 or 2 hour queues that place will have for the 1st few months of cata. (And that's ignoring that Blackrock is a horrible server full of horrible people)

I had the misfortune to be on Blackrock (I hate Blackrock, BTW) just as wrath hit and trying to get into the server was painful in the extreme.

Yes it has, PvP servers allow players to have characters on both sides now.

i had a very successfull weekend on my hunter, i tamed loque'nahak, gondria and skoll... with quite ease i must say, my first fly over of storm peaks after picking up gondria i saw skoll, lol. Also got Loque on my first fly over of the basin :P

Haven't tried Live yet, but based on Beta I think they're good. Unless Warlocks get some changes before release I think I'll be going back to Shaman. I love the Aff playstyle, but the new skills leave a lot to be desired and the new soul shard mechanics aren't doing it for me at all. Shaman has a lot of new mechanics, a revamped healing style and a bunch of new spells. :D

Loving the new patch. Still haen't tried any archaeology, but I really like some of the new mechanics and the talent trees are great.

Decided to get my mage to 80. Arcane is so OP... It's awesome. 18k hits at level 76 is sweet.

The best part of Cataclysm is still to come! The instances are incredible, assuming they don't get nerfed too badly, and the quests are great. Hyjal is basically one long quest chain and has some great lore moments as well.

Helping Hamuul Runetotem, Cenarius and Malfurion banish Ragnaros back to the Firelands. Also, Hamuul has a damned sexy voice >_>

I was with a group of randoms and we were on our 5th dungeon together when it dropped. All of a sudden the hunter in the group starts going nuts, swearing his head off, calling everyone a **** and demanding the hilt be given to him. Naturally everyone just ignored him. He continues begging and going nuts. The group later wipes because the healer is too busy telling the hunter to shut the hell up. Hunter goes silent for a while and then says "Give me hilt and all will be forgotten." This guy was just plain weird.

What the hell man? I was tempted to just pass it off since I don't really need it, but because he was being such a tool I've decided to hold on to it (likely just pass to my DK or something).

I wish that Atonement existed back in Ulduar. Found out today on a selling run I can do 22k Smites every 0.7secs that cost 121 mana, and then heal for that amount.

Same, except swap DK for drood and huntard for rogue :D I'm going to be levelling my Pally to 85 first. I love the new mechanics, really not sure what all the crying is about.

Also, I think I'm pretty much settled on a warlock goblin and a warrior worgen. They are the only classes I haven't really played that much.

Respecced my secondary talent tree to Resto (from elemental) as a Shaman. I never used it perviously.

Due to my 4000 JP coversion I am now main spec resto, and my resto set of gear is now superior to my enhance (previous main spec) set.

Healing is a really nice change for just dps.... Sure dps you have to look out for death mechanics and not pulling aggro, targetting the correct target and 'dont stand in the fire' stuff, but healing is sweet fun.

Im finding the gameplay so much more situational, and not having just a set rotation and priority is a HEAP more fun than just mindlessly plugging my rotation away.

Also idoit players make healing challenging :) so there is a bit of fun attempting or choosing to keep those knuckle heads alive... and instant que's ftw...

Will level as enhance probs in cata, but MS resto for sure...

TL:DR: Healing is a nice change from dps, I recommend trying different specs, as I never did previously, and have found great enjoyment in a different spec.

Enhance/Resto (with resto as main) is the spec combo of kings. Plus shaman healing is the best, they're kinda the jack of all trades of healers, unless you're bad~.

Within 10 minutes of respec'ing I pretty much had my class down pat again. :P If a new patch drops the best thing to do is READ your new talents and work it all out in your head first rather than causing people to rage until EJ tells you how to play your class again.

On another note though I have quit WoW indefinitely. It just takes up far too much of my time. :(

Did VOA on my little shadow priest and was asked to heal instead of being shadow so i'm like sure i won't be a little bitch and help the group out.

Gloves drop, Pheromone wins the roll, the 6k + gs shadow priest rolls and fails. Gets his holy buddy to roll and they fail.

It's not really a reskin in the basic sense, as in they haven't just changed the colour tint or something. Technically it is a variation on an existing dragon model, but I think it looks great.

Searing Totem is now 35yd range for Elemental, yay! :D Also, Blizz have backed down on the stupid Rated BG bracket cycling and have removed the 25m one, leaving just 10 & 15m brackets. I reckon they'll just be testing the waters with it as they wouldn't want to completely remove certain BGs from the competition, but at the same time AV and to a lesser extent IoC would make horrible 15m BGs.

Just got that doing one of the event bosses with Elemental Mastery up (15% damage in its latest incarnation). That's just the proc as well, the Earth Shock itself is entirely separate and probably does another 8-10k if it crits too (and my crit rate is quite silly). Biggest I had landed before this was about 25k on some poor unsuspecting Mage in WG. :D

I dug it. They've done some interesting things with Echo Isles like giving you a training buddy of sorts, and questing alongside Vol'jin. Grouping with the leaders isn't anything new now, but it's pretty cool to be doing it at level 3 :D Haven't started a Gnome... and probably won't.

Also of note is the revamped Tauren starting area. It has a completely different vibe to it now, it's all a bit bit desperate and depressing.

Apparently you can fly in old world via a bug. Dying then running into Hyjal. You'll get teleported out on a spectral flight mount. Then spirit res and you'll have the mount.

The gnome one is pretty cool. You start out as an irradiated gnome and have to do stuff so you get un-irradiated. Then you take back part of Gnomeregan from some guy, all with the help of Thermaplugg himself.
