Was surprised to get my Battlescar boots from chess in the mail yesterday.

Unfortunately they used one of my restorations even though 1) It's Blizzards fault I disconnected during the event. 2) It's Blizzards fault ML didn't default t6o the raid assistant when I disconnected.

Oh well I'll send a complaint in but doubt it will get anywhere but then again that's what I thought about my chances of getting the boots.

I think a more likely situation is that it is 3 restorations over a certain peroid of time, which get reset back to 3 every so often.

Yeah true, I'm pretty careful about what I delete etc. I normally keep old stuff in my bank for a while before vendoring or deleting just to be sure I don't need it anymore. So can't see myself needing anymore in a hurry.

Croissant Crusaders will be recruiting for weekend afternoon 25 mans soon if anyones interested looking to get started when our main healers etc get back from holidays.

Also since I still haven't got my nightbane chest yet would I be silly to get the pally tanking chest Chestguard of the Stoic Guardian (http://www.wowwiki.com/Chestguard_of_the_Stoic_Guardian) from 75 badges (have about 66 at the moment) or should I just wait it out.

Currently using Jadeskull Breastplate (http://www.wowwiki.com/Jade-Skull_Breastplate) (Blue from normal mech).

Even though it has 35 + spell damage I reckon it's would still be a damn good warrior chest if not even better than the Nightbane one Panar'Thar Breastplate (http://www.wowwiki.com/Panzar%27Thar_Breastplate).

More armour, stam, slightly less defense and trade block for dodge.

I basically saved the raid from a wipe by picking up High King after the two "proper" tanks went down, having never tanked him before. Then everyone who wanted the Tier 4 shoulder token were told to roll, nevermind that I'm the only one of that lot who raids TK/SSC and the only one without epic shoulders, or any other option for that slot.

"Proper" tanks died again on Gruul, and I was in the same position and strongly considering bubbling and hearthing.

I can't help but feel a little sorry for you guys. Most guilds are bacteria-filled pits of primordial ooze struggling to evolve in to decent 25-man raiding guilds, and (assuming you guys are reasonably good), I have no idea how you put up with that kind of deadweight.

I don't mean it as "holier than thou" by any stretch, but even high-end raiding is quite underincentivised and full of retards so frankly I'd be going stir crazy. I mean I'm jealous enough of Tsplodey killing Illidan, can't imagine how I'd feel if I'd never even killed, say, Al'ar or Morogrim.

I got to roll, the point was after all the failure this guild has had with progression, all the TK and SSC I've had to park it outside until they got to the "Paladin Tank bit" despite constant assurances that I can in fact tank normally, instead of giving a new-content raider desperately needed upgrades they make me roll on it against a bunch of other scrubs who don't stack up for progression content.

What role does each class play within a party? What race is the best match for each class? What would the best class for a melee whore be, especially if they like to solo in low population times?

Considered playing a rogue? My main back in the day (I quit early 07 and played for a year and a bit) was a rogue and I really enjoyed it most of the time.

Being a tad fragile can be annoying, and I dont know that rogues are particularly farmer friendly.
However they're good fun to play in raids as damage dealers but dont have the pressure that warriors get as main and off tanks.

Why did I post here? Cos the rest of the forum is boring me atm :P

Really depends on what type of Rogue your playing, I leveled Dual daggers and MH dagger OH sword but id recommend trying straight swords it looked a bit easier (perhaps too easy and boring?).

That's actually been a serious suggestion by a lot of the warrior community to alleviate the problem of soloing while prot. The extra damage would be offset by the huge threat making it bad for raid dps (never mind the other 50 points you spend in the prot tree to lose dps viability).

Wipes on Shade again last night /sigh. Although some of the guys hadn't been to kara before last week so still not a bad effort to get Curator down on first attempt.

Cleared Attumen, Moroes, Maiden and R & J without too many probs, one wipe on Maiden due to poor group makeup (2 tanks and only 2 healers with no pally) but managed to overcome that.


Hit the 14K HP mark with my new chest and have just over 16K armour unbuffed now.

Boots of Elusion finally dropped last night after I went to all that trouble to get the boots from chess.

All good though, our noob tank got em.

Bad suggestion, hes such a low level at the moment it doesn't really matter, as long as any more levels go into combat (Imp Sinister Strike kgo)
Riposte is very good for levelling and world PvP (when it occurs), stronger attack than a sinister strike for only 10 energy

Wolfy is right about getting Riposte, it's very nice, however trying to get Blade Flurry and AR as soon as possible is a big boon. You can't do that spending early points in Assassination.

Right now Id say theres more of a shortage of tanks than healers. Healers arent overly common but tanks are pretty critical right now.

i enjoyed quite a good PUG group yesterday- had 3 pallys and 2 warriors (one me) and we did stratholme, so that was pretty awesome. finished teh whole undead side in less than an hour. And we picked up like 8 pieces of dungeon set one. and they let me D/E all of them- large brilliant shards! YAY!

and with a bunch of OL resist green gear i bought, i had roughly 200 shadow and frost resist with the auras. it was soo much fun tanking that day.

I fit my KC in whenever I'm not doing an arcane shot or MS. Quartz lies, it gives you more time than it allows in its bar visual. Its pretty easy dude.

Originally it was an Undead Rogue, but I bought TBC today and changed it to a Blood Elf Rogue. Going to stick with this as the character doesn't annoy me and I'm getting into Rogue now. Also, Jewelcrafting.

I get into Orgrimar, I lag a bit, get disconnected, and when I log back in Im falling in Eastern Plague lands with a whole bunch of the people that were around me aswell, but they then drop below me out of sight. Either that or Im falling again in Orgrimar with the same thing. I should note, that when I log back in after the people have fallen they arnt back up there and they dont just fall again. Also, on the log in screen it doesnt have a thing telling me where I am.

Last time this happened I had my friend with me, who was able to get someone to go to the instance I was on my way to and they summoned me. Now however Im alone...Anyone know of a helpful way tp get me out of this situation without calling for a GM? I cant hearth or do auto-unstuck because it says Im moving. Any suggestions would be nice.

I have had this happen to me to, the only solution I found is if your coming from the zep tower to not jump off but walk down that always seemed to work, other then that petition a gm or wait a few hours.

Also... a rant! I'll admit I've got noone to blame but myself in this regard but I can't seem to break in to higher echelons of PvP this season. I was duelist last season which should equate to 1850+, but so far syt's highest is 1750 and Maynards is 1700 5s. I really want to find a good 3s team on maynard to get regular practice during weekdays, as currently all my teammates are raiders so I'm finding myself with no arena during the week.

Meh, a MUCH better fury neck drops off SSC trash, from my experience it drops quite often too.

Yep. There was a rogue in the raid, but she didn't want it, as she has a better one (probably the SSC one you guys mentioned). I've actually been pretty lucky to even be in Kara at all as fury, as our guild is pretty set in the warrior=tank mindset (even though we use a Druid as MT).

Finally got started on Ogri'La tonight. Apparently there's some decent warrior gear there, too. I gotta say, though, those bombing run quests aren't as fun as the ones in HFP.

Pretty good Kara run last night after the initial 45 mins stuffing around we went and nailed Illhoof, Prince and Nightbane without any wipes. Unfortunately we wiped 3 times and had a couple good attempts on Netherspite. Wasn't too bad considering not many knew the fight. A few stuff ups on the green beam was the problem.

Pally, Shammie, Rogue helm dropped again and a healer shammie got it so all good.

- What the removal of diminishing returns means for you is that as soon as you defeat an opponent that rewards you honor, you will receive that honor, and you will be able to spend it right then. There will no longer be an estimate, and you will no longer need to wait until the next day until you can actually spend it. Your achievements through honor-based PvP will be instantaneous. (Source)

Nah, basically any PvP that doesn't occur in Battlegrounds...

It is more or less non-existant now because Battlegrounds offer much easier honor gains.
