Out walking my dog and got king hit by a magpie.

Didn't even hear it coming, just felt it slam into the side of my head.

Then it landed and just stood there looking at me.

Made a nice gash above my ear and my temple is pounding.

And my dog didn't do a thing to help.
I'd keep an eye on that if it actually drew blood. The wound can get infected due to all the dirt & germs on their beaks and claws.

Add this one to the drama file. Last week my housemate and his girlfriend broke up, so the girlfriends brother rocked up at my house at 4am and tried to get inside and kill me. And then I went to the police and made a statement cause he said he was gonna kill me at work, or at home, or in my sleep, etc

fckn ice junkies. So yeah, had to get an intervention order, been sleeping in motels, my car, or girlfriends place.. boom!

the funny part is, I literally wasn't involved at all, until this dickhead rocked up at my house and forced my hand. And I've had to quit my job cause of it all, especially seeing as his dad is the head chef at my work and I work with his sister as well

$250 turned into $470 really quick :(.

fml - Got a macbook air yesterday, love the thing so damn much. Edited a few sets of photos, thought things were going great. Then I loaded them all up on my normal monitor, and realised the biggest drawback - for what I need it for, it kinda fails - the colour display performance is shit compared to.... everything.

I'm really specific and deliberate when editing my photos and the screen quality seems to have compromised the quality of colours and exposure adjustments. Do I learn to compensate in my editing, figure out if it's possible to calibrate somehow or just yell at Apple till they provide a refund or exchange possibly towards a macbook pro which has a much better quality screen?

Why the **** did none of the reviews that I looked at mention this? :|

Vodafone can go die in a hole. I rang up their call centre the other day to see what sort of a price they could do for an iPhone 4s, seeing as I've been with them for forever and a day. They knocked about $50 off it and said I could get it from any store. Well I just got back from Carousel shopping centre and not one of the three Vodafone shops I went into would do it. Combine that with the shitty reception I've been getting lately and I'm very pissed at the moment. Ended up going to JB HiFi, buying a Telstra one and getting it unlocked. If I wasn't in the middle of a contract I would be leaving Vodafone right now.

Just got hit with a $213 power/gas/water/internet bill and a $160 p/m raised price in rent, neither I had budgeted for. So there goes pretty much all the money my parents gave me for xmas... Welcome to adult life kids.

To clarify the $160 p/m raise in rent isn't that bad, basically now I'm paying a lump sum for rent/bills included as apposed to rent them paying bills separately. It equates to about $90 a month for utilities, internet, garden maintenance etc. I'm also paying $12.50 a week more than last year but I was expecting a rise in rent cost in the new year anyway as I've been on the same rate for more than a year now.

Still... Feels like a bit of a kick in the balls. :(

Legally, yes, I think it's one month's notice. Although the place I'm renting at the moment is a little dodgy, they actually asked me if I could pay the new rent in cash. :p I declined.

I'm paying the new rent at such short notice because, we're at the start of a new three month billing cycle for utilities, so it's easier to start the new 'bills included' system now than in a month.

I'm actually quite keen to start paying the new all bills inclusive rent price too, it makes budgeting a lot easier, paying a flat fee rather than guessing what the bills will be. Also I expect to get a little out in front, when we reach winter and the heating bills begin kicking in.

My boss has offered me a position in the city that a) pays more and b) will give me my weekends back. Which would normally be a positive, but it will involve 10hrs overtime every second week and would logistically stuff my family around massively for very little bonus over what I have now once I factor in travel/childcare costs.

Add to that I have been given until tomorrow to get back to him (begrudgingly, he wanted an answer on the spot and gave me more time when my reaction was a definite no). Streaming video wackness. Often a stream bar will just stop moving, or changing something like window size, or rolling back to something you wanted to see again will restart the entire stream. Now that there's those god-awful ads that give you even less control, this often means I can't even set a video to load and then go do something else while I wait and hope, like bitch about it on this forum. To add insult to injury, ad banners seem to load before actual content, all over the web. I can't run out onto my lawn and yell "GET AWAY FROM MY HOUSE!". Well, I can, but it won't have the desired effect.
