The game is pretty good, camera movement can be a little bumpy at times. But it is fairly enjoyable if you can get over the fact that you nearly have no control over where the people go to, you don't point and click the way you would in starcraft, age of empires etc. All you control is the dirt, water, and lava and a few random mission objects like a cactus.

And today bought a GBA SP AGS-101 (from ebay US), which is the model with the brighter screen that is better-er than the AGS-001, which is the standard model in Australia.

Tempted by the 3DS with the price drop, but why bother when there is already another model on the way with the second anlogue nub.

Unless there is something wrong with it, I tend to keep stuff, it's just dis-honest. Like people who buy games, finish (or pirate) them, and then return it for another game.

Sure the stores are somewhat stupid for letting people do it, but to me you are not truly a lover of the gaming arts if you are buying and returning games.


Actually the first XL I bought the other day had a scratch in the top screen, so took it back straight away and exchanged for another one.

Grabbed Rayman 2 off GoG.com. Honestly, this game is and always will be a great amount of fun. That plus the music made for it is fantastic; really classic, nostalgic tunes.

Only problemo is the dubbing isn't in any language, I'm not sure which original it's ported from (if it's the actual PC version then it makes nonsense not to have proper VA in there). it sounds something like the character noises in Banjo Kazooie, only far-far worse.

Also, Shadows of the Damned at JB for $50.

I caved in and purchased Renegade Ops. The second mission isn't as fun as the first, and the time limit is a lot more generous, so perhaps losing that sense of urgency. I've been replaying the first stage with different characters and trying the hardest difficulty, which I haven't passed yet.

You keep your experience points even when you fail the stage, which means you can eventually pimp your jeep to the max, which will make the stage easier.

The game glitches occasionally for a fraction of a second as there's a load of stuff going on at once, but it doesn't ruin it. I wonder if it will glitch more during multiplayer?

But yeah it's a blast to play, one of the best games on Xbox Live Arcade, with top-tier production values.

First up God Hand on ps3, I wanted this as an HD remaster but for $10 emulated I can't complain, I think it looked better then if I played it on ps2 with component cables. Grabbed Castlevania HD as well, it feels a bit slow but otherwise is quite fun, glad I waited for the PSN version.

Second lot got the Dreamcast Collection at JB for $30 and they still had the bonus 12" LP so I scored some free vinyl which is always great (the running time is really short too so the sound is very good). 3DS games $50 for zelda, the others dirt cheap from Zavvi. Thor DS was $24 from big-w & should only be played on a dsi LL/XL where it shines. Sly collection $10 from Harvey Norman.

Finally grabbed Dark Souls this morning, full price but like I give a shit (the asian version of Demons Souls cost me over $120 to import when it came out) the wait was excrutiating, Catherine and SOTC were normal price too. SSFIVAE $30, Motorstorm Apocalypse from Harvey Norman for $25, $15 for Ar Tonelico from EBgames of all places & the shitgames on the right of the pic were cheap as buggery too.

I always planned on just getting SOTC though since it's in my top 3 and ico is in the bottom 3. When I can get the local collection pack for $20 or less i might pick it up and give ico another shot though since the environment probably looks stunning for the 2 minutes you get to enjoy it before shadows pop up and ruin it.

Yeah, they said 10-15 working days (the 15th day was Friday 7th Oct) and to contact them if it still hasn't arrived on the 20th day. I'm definitely going to wait until the 5th week though, because I've heard before that it can take forever from them.

Royal Mail has a 45 day deadline for lost parcel claims. I learnt the hard way when $300 worth of games never turned up and left it too late to complain.

I've had things arrive 4 or 5 weeks after despatch from UK occasionally, so I assumed the extra delay was probably due to customs having to inspect packages.

You should email the retailer if you have not received after a month from the despatch notice.

[EDIT: The 45 day deadline may be the retailer's (http://www.game.co.uk/en/info/Order-Not-Received) deadline rather than Royal Mail's]

If you leave it after 45 days then you're sweet out of luck!

Shouldn't it be more like what's up with rogue warrior? Kung Fu Rider reminds me of a sega arcade game from 10 years ago, of course it doesn't play anywhere near as good as that but I swore I'd pick it up once I could get it for $20 or less. I really liked the photo feature in the demo, first one it took I looked happy and optimistic, 2nd one a bit dishevelled & in the last photo I was noticeably pissed off, it was classic. The next time I played I put a ski mask and sunglasses on and raised my fist as the photo was taken to look a bit like a terrorist, first photo came out great but the 2nd one took a pic of my woman (looking bored as buggery) as it recognised the light from her phone. Great stuff.

TBH I've got all the games I like from that collection on Dreamcast, and after playing the collection I reckon I'd be better off just firing up the DC through the VGA box heh. I just wanted the bonus LP, if they'd have said they were out I would have grabbed something else but at $40 retail for most 12" LPs anywhere in the city I feel like I got something for free.

Lol don't do anything drastic my hatred for ICO is easily explained. I only ever do escort missions begrudgingly and have never enjoyed one. I like to take my time exploring and admiring the scenery in 3D games, ICO has really nice scenery but shadows keep popping up to ruin it. Due to this I can't obtain immersion and don't have the emotional investment in the game which is often described as a main feature. I do have that for SOTC so I can empathise to some extent, but as far as my preferences go ICO is aids. I know better then to bring this up really but just can't help myself as it's something I'm against in principle.

Only thing I ever pre-ordered there was the Kick-Ass Blu-Ray, which I think arrived very very fast, like before I saw it any retail shops.

I'm hoarding for the holiday season, all ps3 titles were around $40-50 except uncharted which was around $70, bit much but I have japanese versions of the other uncharted games due to a cheap price on the first and the cheesy art on the 2nd. It's pretty funny playing through with japanese audio too.

For Sengoku Basara 3 Utage I tried something different and ordered from gmarket, ended up being a bit over $50 for the game after ems shipping which is even cheaper then ordering the asian version at play asia. I had to get the Korean one anyway since my copy of SB3 is Korean & transferring my 100+ hours of progress over to SB3 Utage is essential. I swear this is the best non-clover/platinum beatemup, feels a lot like a 2D one in a 3D space. It's the only game though where I wish there was online co-op, I usually roll my eyes when I hear this sort of comment but it would just be perfect here.

I must have been off my face when I added mgs collection 360 version to the cart, when it arrived I was all 'wtf is this shit' but I checked the order details and that's what I put in the cart. Time to break out the x-convertor 360 I guess. I really meant to get this on ps3 to play with a dualshock 3 pad, oh well at least I can have custom music now.

The 2 anime looking J-360 games are 2D fighters, Phantom Breaker is a dodgy 5pb one with a special move button replacing actual commands (I grabbed the asian version for $60) and the other one is a port of a doujin fighter that apparently plays like melty blood, I haven't tried it yet but it cost over 90 bucks so it had better be good. These new fighters are all well and good but I just want the new kof already!!

Resident Evil Mercenaries on 3DS was $30 at my local k-mart which is sort of alright I guess.

Bloody November... I picked up Rayman: Origins today along with Assassin's Creed: Revelations and the MGS HD Collection not too long before that (not to mention Skyrim, Gears 3, Dark Souls, Dance Central 2 and El Shaddai I still need to work through). They're all so bloody good with Rayman being an absolute stand out. I highly recommend you get some sweet, limbless action into your incredibly boring lives as soon as possible!

On the same day I ordered those 2 games from H Norman online, I also stopped in at my local store to see if they were participatin in the sale thingo (rural store).

Some of these are a little old haven't got too much in lately. Got Under Defeat HD on ps3 & 360, ltd & std edition respectively along with Gal Gun on ps3 (which is a lot more playable and fun with the move controller, rail shooter on a pad never made any bloody sense to me) for around $240 shipped from hmv japan, saved around 30-40 bucks ordering there rather then play asia.

Got El Shaddai for like $20 or so, vita games all about 40 bucks or less each & Yakuza Dead Souls full price on launch day, completed the game before I would have received it had I ordered it so well worth the $80.

For some reason I bought Split/Second Velocity $14 on psn for the psp despite owning it on the PC, and Titan Quest Gold Edition for $19. I hear its not as good as Diablo 2, but I'm bored of Torchlight as it is.

I bought skate 3 on ps3 for $12 new from JB this afternoon and 360 Ace combat special edition for $18. I do love bargain bins.

I do however wish I hadnt wasted my money on Twisted Metal. Just trying to grab an online game with this can be a lesson in frustration. I loved the original PS1 classic but this game when I can grab a game is fun but everything else is just meh.
