Piano black PSP-2000 $200 new and a dramatic improvement over the original psp. PSP games Dracula X $30, Darkstalkers $20, Power Stone Collection & Mega Man X $15, Everybody's Golf 2 $10.

Also some PSN stuff Spelunker HD which worked out to be about $40 but worth it due to the uncompromising old style game design and whopping 100 levels. PS1 on PSN: Choaniki, Gaia Seed, Cotton, Ray Tracers, Silent Bomber & Advanced Variable Geo. Those Japanese PS1 games are still reasonable value at $10 each after conversion. I also grabbed Trash Panic & Go Puzzle: Skyscraper from the Australian store.

I dunno if this has been mentioned, or if it's in the wrong thread, but I just bought my sister a DS lite with the new Super Mario Bros game for $178 from big W. I've also found a way to get 10% off so I got it for $160. I thought that was really cheap, but knowing my luck it's probably just a sign the DS lite is about to come down coz of the DSi or something. I've been kind of turned off video gaming lately.

I'm seriously considering buying one myself. Actually, I opened my sister's one and played it to see if I want one. I'm a bad brother. $160 with a game, it's so cheap, even if it's a game I'm not sure I want. I really just want to play chrono trigger and some RPGs.

The only thing I don't like is the booklet is only 16 pages (mostly Q&A stuff I can't read) and that the leather DS game case won't fit any DS games! They've sealed it up so tight I can barely fit 1/4 of it and then feel like I'm going to tear it upon doing so. Also the game's in japanese, I'm not too sure you need to be that jealous of me :p The translated guide just tells me what's happening and how to do stuff, its not a word for word script reader so I miss out on all the jokes :(

One is an audio CD with 5 tracks of the Orchestra music (pretty sure its only from the new game) and the other is a DVD containing 30min of Miles Edgeworth ads, one is kind of a Tokyo Gameshow story which would maybe be funny if I knew japanese (again, with the japanese trouble!), Gumshoe sounds funny though, you get to hear everybody with voice actors

So I picked up Namco Arcade Museum for 360 for $44 from JB, can see myself going back to it again and again for some bite-sized gameplay sessions. Also picked up Mothership Zeta for Fallout 3 off LIVE and pounded through it in maybe 3 or so hours. Good little addition to the game, but don't expect anything earth-shatteringly new, and it's quite combat-heavy. Still good fun and worth it if you're a fan of the Fallout 3 DLC's so far.

I received it today. So it took just under a week from the day I redeemed it at club-nintendo.

I quite like it. It's like made out of the same thing used for wine coolers, but shiny. It ships flat. Right now I've got two wiimotes and a nunchuck stored in it. Now if only I can use my UK club-nintendo points towards that Mario face-towel.

Is it hard to get into? I tried some other hacking game a while ago and got completely lost right after the tutorial.

It starts off pretty simple, but gets a lot deeper later on (not that I've got there yet, had to restart twice now cos I keep forgetting to delete my logs after perusing government servers :P). Here's an example of an actual job I got maybe an hour in-

A company suspects that one of a rival software company's employees has been hacking their systems for some time, but they have no proof. They want you to hack into the Global Criminal Database and give their suspect a conviction for computer fraud so that he will lose his job. As well as the standard passwords that you have to crack on basically every system, this one has a proxy that needs bypassing and a voice recognition check. Obviously I have a password cracking tool and I can also block the proxy (albeit very slowly because my gateway PC sucked at this stage), but I don't have the voice recognition software. Once I have that, the plan would be to find a links section on the server given that leads to a public access server for the company so that you can get the phone number of a managing director. You'd call the director and record him answering the phone, then use that sample to make a digital recreation of the voice recognition password. :D Of course that particular server gave about 40sec before the trace was completed, and my shitty gateway PC would spend double that just cracking the password. :P

From what I've read, other activities you can do with enough gear & skill include sabotaging specific companies to raise the stock prices of a rival that you conveniently have shares in, dipping into corporate bank accounts then laundering the money through various accounts you have with different institutions, and there's also a story that develops where you can choose who to side with (or you can ignore it completely).

As for the controls, they're quite simple and everything is down with the mouse, aside from typing text into fields.

The freeware one is Trackmania Nations Forever. I suggest you try that out first. However the retail one, Trackmania United Forever, apparently contains all content from all previous games.

Some LCD panels can't do this for SD images - shockingly. Apparently, Wii games display better on plasma TVs, too. Who knows, I think most games look crap on all of them and my GCN on my CRT displays better pictures in non-progressive scan than my Wii does on an HDTV :/ I'd consider moving my Wii up to the lamer TV if it weren't for the huge drop in screen size :(

It's kind've funny, cos I've got my PS3 running through a 42" plasma and it looks brilliant, yet I've got my 360 running through a 19" LCD monitor and it looks a million-times clearer than it did on the plasma. As for the Wii, I can't really tell the difference, other than it being on a much bigger screen than my old standard TV.
