Could be misleading advertising in the trailer (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GJrja48b83Y). There was info about there being new characters in the CT release for PAL regions before. Anyway, guess the delay for a local release won't be as bad as last time.

Also got a 12 month gold sub last weekend so I'm now up and active for some games if people are still up for it (even though it's been a while).
I'm always keen to play Calamity Trigger on Live, chuck me a friend invite (I have 1 spot free atm). I dont have many friends with it unfortunately, so far only played Laz.
Hi Laz!

Hi! :D
Oct release for CS is pretty godlike. I might buy it on 360 so I can play on live.

CS in October? I think I should wait rather than buy a second copy of CT just for 360.

1st of July in Japan, 20th in US. AVCon will be importing the Japan copy for AVCon 2010 in July. :3

So the last 3 characters who were released as DLC in japan (and will hopefully be included in the pal release rather than being DLC) are Makoto Nanaya (Noel's squirrel-girl friend), Valkenhayn Hellsing (Rachel's Butler and one of the six heroes) and Platinum the Trinity (another of the six heroes). SO that takes the new characters for CS to 7 including already announced Tsubaki, Hazuma, Lambda no.11, and Mu no.12.
I'm already highly anticipating the story mode plotline.

so they've announced two special edition versions for Pal regions. The limited edition version and the Fan edition version (which is limited to 500). The fan edition is available from Zen United's online store and hopefully the limited edition gets released here. I'm tempted however to pre-order the fan edition even with how much it would probably be.

I'll change the thread title to reflect that this is now about both games. Or you could make another thread if you like FF.

Don't know if it's going to affect here but just got an email from Game UK stating that over there the release of Continuum shift has been pushed back to the 19th of November. Guess I'm waiting minimum of an extra 3 weeks for my collector's edition.

I'm actually getting PS3 but I wanted a) collector's edition (since it was announced before the US release) and b) the ability to get the dlc characters without having to screw around to set up a US PSN account and get credit.

so continuum shift arrived 2 days ago but and sadly I haven't had much time to play it. However what I've done of story mode already has me completely psyched for what they will do for the third game (yes I know fighter's aren't supposed to be played for the story). SO just wondering who has the game...especially those who have it on PS3 as I would be up for some online matches when I have the time. My PSN tag is in my signature.

Picked up CS for PS3, just starting to learn. Anyone here still play? Liking Rachel and Arakune at the moment, and loving how different all the characters feel.

still playing on PS3 but with PSn indefinitely dead while they repair it I can't play online. Annoys me because I discovered on Live today that Platinum the trinity has finally been released as dlc.

Just started the story mode. Shit is bananas, have no idea what's going on. Was there previous story in the first game that I'm missing? Or is it just typical anime bullshit where nothing makes sense?

It makes more sense than the first game strangely enough. :P
But yeah, the plot is all over the place.

So Continuum Shift 2 is getting PSP and 3DS releases while the 360 and PS3 versions will be patched up to the revision (if not already available).
