Still only five items to redeem.

Don't go to Club Nintendo EU, US or Japan sites. It will only make you cry.

Only thing of interest I can afford is the Mario 'face towels', and that was after registering, what, 6 or 7 games? UGH! I spent 3/4 of an hour typing in codes and doing those ******ing surveys! C'MON!

Does. Not. Compute.

I'm trying to login to their website but obviously the password is at random and I've deleted the email for it. So I request a resetted password, that was 3 hours ago and still nothing. That's Club Ninteno AU for you

edit: Logged in, I have 1100 points which means I can either get a Wii remote stand (which looks more like a toothbrush holder) which I don't need since I don't have a Wii or I can get nothing. Fantastic.

I hit platinum status with my American Club Nintendo account. Not being a fan of Punch Out!, I went with the plush Mario Hat as my gift.

My biggest complaint with the Club Nintendo store is that I don't have enough coins to buy the shit I really want, and there's not enough stuff coming out for the Wii anytime soon that I actually want so that I can reach my 800 coins for the Hanadufa Cards.

incompatible with life

I like the fact that on the survey they get you to do when redeeming points, I put "was on sale" every single time when I was asked why I bought a particular game/system.

At 1800 points I'm wondering whether to just grab whatever I can an go for the stylus/case pack, or wait until I hit 2500 for the game and watch pack (which to be honest I'm not really going to play all that much). Or there's always option C - hold out even further for even better goodies.

I got my remote holder just a few days ago, simply because i was sick of sitting on my points waiting for something good to come out.
To be honest its pritty rediculous but still looks good sitting next to my wii i suppose.
To answer your question no you dont have to pay for postage.

As an alternative to the Club Nintendo Australia holder, if you'd rather spend money, you can buy Wiimote Holders from Play-Asia! In White (http://www.play-asia.com/SOap-23-83-53jx-71-10v-49-en-15-wii+remote+pocket-84-j-70-2xkj.html), Black (http://www.play-asia.com/SOap-23-83-53jx-71-10v-77-1-49-en-15-wii+remote+pocket-84-j-70-2xkk.html), or Blue (http://www.play-asia.com/SOap-23-83-53jx-71-10v-77-2-49-en-15-wii+remote+pocket-84-j-70-2xkl.html). Good thing you can buy the foreign CN stuff off eBay. That's how I got my plush Mario hat. :p

I can't believe there's still only 5 items on there. Are they ever going to update it?

Blake gave me a good idea though- I wonder if I can just buy up all the Wii and DS stuff I can find from EB, and then return it in 7 days after registering the points. It's not like there's enough Nintendo games coming out that I actually want to buy for keeps.

EDIT: All games distributed or published by Nintendo Australia after Mario Kart Wii... anyone got a list?

I've got 2100 star points....you really need to buy a LOT of shit to get anything.

Anyway, the reason for my post is I have free star points for anyone who's interested....in MS Paint fun. What you need to draw your best 'Tobias Funke' (from Arrested Development...c'mon!) using only Paint. Here is a picture for reference.

http://img709.imageshack.us/img709/1800/tobiasfunketwitter.jpg

Currently I've got two codes that I can't redeem as I've already registered the game associated the codes in question. (I don't know what games the codes are from...) So the two best entries will get a code each.

And if anybody is wondering why I have multiple codes....I run 2 video stores and I have multiple copies of games for rent. So there you go. Also, I have 9 copies of NSMB for rent at work, so I should theoretically have 9 more codes in my possession by Monday night, when I get home.

Ok, get painting!

I've made a thread for this now...so post entries here! (http://www.hyper.com.au/forums/showthread.php?t=19967)

But we can be optimistic and hope they add another 5 items over the next three years. Willing to bet that one of them won't be the SNES classic controller pad.

EDIT: Stevo, instead of e-mailing Yuji Bando, how about wearing a T-shirt in protest?

Guys,

Can anyone help out.

I bought Super Mario Galaxy 2 from the UK and I've just tried to register my code but it keeps saying that it's expired. WTF?

I'm pretty sure there wouldn't be any difference in codes from the UK to AUS as we get the exact same games so I can't understand why it won't work.

There is an expiration date on the card which is 11/12/2013 so I don't know how it is saying that it's expired. If no one can help me out I'll have to ring them up tomorrow and ask. Even though they don't have anything decent on there I'd still like to get something for free! :D

Pai Mel

Nah, those codes are for the UK region only. Find a mate in the UK to exchange them for favours or something, heh.

Damn it!

So once the game gets shipped to Aus they re-pack them with new codes?

Bastards!

Umm, no. While we're both PAL territories, both regions would have their own discs, manuals, covers and inserts.

Umm, no. While we're both PAL territories, both regions would have their own discs, manuals, covers and inserts.

Since when? I've always know for them to have the same disc art, Manual and covers most times.

fishfishmonkeyhat
18-07-2010, 09:10 PM
We have a different rating system. For that alone they need to reprint the above. Unless they go the cheap route and just stick ours over the UK one on the cover.

So yes, the art text will be identical, but, yeah.

VanAce

Also I assume the codes wouldn't work as their Club Nintendo is probably way better than ours.

So anyway I just cashed in my 2500 points for Game & Watch Gallery.

- Cooking Guide: Can’t Decide What to Eat?
- Crossword DS
- Disaster: Day of Crisis
- Etrian Odyssey
- Fossil Fighters
- Kirby Super Star Ultra
- KORG DS-10
- Make 10: A journey of numbers (stole the points card out of the game case @ school ;))
- Mario Kart Wii
- Monster Hunter Tri Bundle
- NEW PLAY CONTROL! Pikmin (Pikmin 2 should also be on this list but it wasn't in the box *rage*)
- New Super Mario Bros. Wii
- Nintendo presents: Style Boutique
- Pokémon Platinum Version
- Pokémon Ranger: Shadows of Almia
- Pokémon SoulSilver Version
- Professor Layton and Pandora's Box
- PUNCH-OUT!!
- Rhythm Heaven
- Super Mario Galaxy 2
- Super Smash Bros. Brawl
- The Legend of Starfy
- The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks
- Trauma Center: New Blood
- Wario Land: The Shake Dimension
- WarioWare: Do It Yourself
- Wii Fit
- Wii Fit Plus
- Wii Music
- Wii Party Remote Bundle

(Hell yeah I can get another shirt! I still haven't registered Wii Sports Resort or Metroid: Other M :D I'll wait for it to come so I can try it on and yeah Blake I'll measure it for you)

I received my shirt in the mail. I've noticed you've ordered yours, Blake, so I don't need to measure it anymore. The design is really vibrant which is great, but it sucks they didn't offer it in small. While it's not huge by any means - it's a fitted medium - it's still a medium. I'm glad I ordered a blue one, as the white ones are even bigger.

As much as I love the design and the quality, I don't think I'll order another as they're a tad big. Good as a round-the-house-not-in-public shirt, though. Make a small one next time Nintendo!

Each qualified third party Nintendo 3DS game will carry a Club Nintendo PIN. By registering the product online at Club Nintendo, you can earn 250 stars for third party games.

I suspect even he will have trouble winning a survey for a game I didn't purchase.

Woo hoo, ordered my SNES classic controller. Thanks to the list of games posted earlier that come with points, I managed to find a game I'd brought ages ago but hadn't registered yet.

Maybe a snappy answer in 25 or less to Nintendo Australia to see if they will re-stock the controller.

Do you want me to post my picture of my SNES Wii controllers again Blake?

Received my Wii SNES controller in the mail today. Months ago I was told they were out, so I hurried to grab one. Just checked and they aren't on there anymore. I feel so lucky.

Those controllers are old news!

Now it's all about spending 750 points on a Life-sized AR Card (http://club.nintendo.com.au/NOE/en_AU/club_nintendo/stars_catalogue_320.html).

Damn it tau they only had 10 SNES controllers to give away and they did!

I accidentally got 2 codes with Mercs 3D, but neither is working yet. Maybe once the release date has past. Luckily for me I'm not exactly in a rush to claim anything!

Did anyone have problems linking their Club Nintendo accounts to the 3DS or Wii? I had it linked before, then I updated my email address on the Club Nintendo website, and had it un-linked from the consoles. Now I can't link it back again with my new email address, or my old email address :/

EDIT: Nevermind, it works now. Looks like it doesn't update the changes in the database immediately, but it will eventually (maybe weekly?).
