This thread seemed pretty interesting on UYAC, so I figured I'd try it here as well.
Where are you in your life? What are you doing with yourself? Studying or working? Puttering along without a direction?
Where are you going? What are your plans for the future? Are you preparing to go in to a particular field for your future job? Are you just riding the waves of life to whereever they go?
Why go there? Why do you have the current plans for your life? Have you tried other things, but decided it wasn't for you? Did you just fall in to it and decided to see how it went?
----------------
Where are you in your life? I'm currently working as a Storeman. It's a casual job with fulltime hours at the moment. By all accounts, it should be steady employment until I can get back in the Navy.
Where are you going? Hoping to rejoin the Navy. When I left, I had to list 3 things I'd do, which were getting my Cert III in Transport Logistics, getting my old job back and sorting out my anger issues (which turned out to be a lot deeper than originally planned). I've done what's required of me and I'm just hoping to be able to get in by the start of next year. If I'm not in by then, I'll be enrolling in Diploma of Transport and Logistics.
Why go there? I really like the ordered lifestyle offered in the Defence Forces and the Navy seems pretty self contained. The sea faring life offers more money and provides less chance to spend the said cash, so if I did decide to leave, I'd have some decent backing to by my own place and such. If the Navy doesn't turn out like planned, I'll have gained a hell of a lot of experience and I've found working in Civvy logisitics ain't so bad (when it's not Target).
