Hopefully if all goes to plan this weekend I'll be snowboarding on Mt. Buller. Anyone else ski/snowboard?
I really only picked it up last year when I went to Queenstown for annual leave. I was quite determined to 'learn' it without taking lessons just to see if I really could pick it up.
Had a rocky start with many falls forward on my chest but eventually things started falling into place once I got the hang of the falling leaf and then built up from there.
By the end of my 10 day trip in Whistler earlier this year I was surviving most blue runs and fairly okay at some of the easier ones.
I'm probably not quite at the stage where I'll buy my own gear although I have been tempted to buy boots sicne the rentals I got at Whistler made my feet cramp up badly.
