Well, I've mentioned a few times that I have recently moved away from the Auckland suburban squalor and bought a lifestyle block with the missus in the North Waikato; which is about roughly halfway between Auckland and the next southern city Hamilton.

I swore I'd never own another dog since my beloved Sara and Kaz died a few years back but dangnabit 2 acres is just to big a place without dogs so the missus went over to a rellies place and picked up 2 black labrador x puppies.

So, everyone, meet Zeus and Apollo!!

This is Zeus. When we first got them (they are brothers) Zeus was twice the size of Apollo and would hog all the food and was generally a fat, lazy bastard bully. He also eats ANYTHING the prick. Got into my garage and got stuck into a bag of CEMENT for gods sake; what's up with that shit? Crazy.

OMG Apollo is just so adorable and is my favourite. Poor wee thing gets bullied a bit by Zeus and they cannot be fed together or else Apollo gets rolled for his grub. HAHA but I've been feeding them separately and giving Apollo a bit extra each day so after 2 weeks (that's how long we've had them) I can really see the changes; Zeus is getting less fatter and Apollo is getting bigger.

Saladin the rooster and his 7 bitches in the hen house. They are good layers too; we've got over 40 eggs in the 2 weeks we've been here. Yummy eggs with HUGE yolks. (I named him)

THE HAND! In my constant efforts to spook out children on my property I got out the chainsaw and pruned a tree outside the kitchen window that had a trunk remarkably like a hand reaching out of the ground!! ARGGGH! Poltergeist!!

1989 Navara, so yeah pretty old. Goes super well though; hooked up a tandem stock trailer yesterday and picked up two cattle beasts and it pulled like a schoolboy!

Yesterday I went and picked up two cattle beasts to fatten up for the table for next summer and beyond. Boy, try getting two stroppy and powerful animals into a tandem stock trailer without help; jeez, what an exercise.

No matter; a few pulls of the ears and a prod in the arse and they were in! And here they are. I've named them LUNCH and DINNER:
