Thinking back about 10 - 15 years, I remembered that there was soo many kick ass cartoons on TV, and to think we got all that on free to air TV. There's proberly too many good shows to recall but my personal fav would have to be Duck Tales. One you hear that openig theme song, it stays in your head for weeks.
Let the nostalgia begin...

Count Duckula, Danger Mouse, Lucky Luke, Inspector Gadget, Superted, aaaand in later years Gargoyles.
I go back a bit further than most of you, so for me it's Milton the Monster and Fearless Fly, with a healthy shout out to Rocky and Bullwinkle and The Flintstones.

Animals of Farthing Wood was epic, the series went for freakin' months on ABC. Was a massive fan of Inspector Gadget, Tintin and Thomas the Tank Engine.
One of my fondest cartoon memories was a movie my mum hired out once that told the story of a young race driver trying to win a huge endurance event. It was quite possibly anime, and very similar to Speed Racer only more realistic. For example the main character was shown using heel & toe on gear shifts, and in one scene a character appeared in a new (at the time) Ferrari and a young car whiz proceeded to run off a list of technical specs. All I know is that it was quite old (80s if I had to guess), no idea what it was called or the names of any characters. :(

I was really into Ren & Stimpy from the age of six. I still am, really, although now I pick up on a lot of stuff I didn't back then. :D
I was also very much into Rocko's Modern Life, Arrrgghhh! Real Monsters!, Pokemon (I was about 10 when it hit), and, going back a bit further, TMNT and Thomas the Tank Engine (not really a cartoon, but w/e).
These days, my four yrar old sister watches a lot of Dora the Explorer (which is a surprisingly great show for little kids, considering it's clearly aimed at kids living in areas where a lot of people speak Spanish) and a lot of other shit I can't get into. And The Simpsons, of course.

I credit Ren & Stimpy for my broad sense of humour. The first episode I ever saw was 'Visit to Anthonys' the one where they visited a fan's house, and the kid was horrified to find out that they went to the toilet despite being cartoon characters. It ended with a tense standoff as the father accused the two of injuring his son (Victor the Bully had come by earlier on and beat the shit out of him) which ended in Stimpy vomitting up a hairball. My father and I were absolutely in stitches over it. 15 years later I still think it's hilarious.

I have to admit, Jerry the Bellybutton Elf scared the shit out of me. Did you ever see that one? Stimpy gets addicted to playing with his bellybutton, and eventually gets pulled inside it to meet the titular elf. Stimpy essentially becomes Jerry's slave, but after messing up his dinner, Jerry turns into a giant monster, pulls Ren inside and eats them both.
Watching it now, I can see that the episode is actually an allegory for drug addiction. Back then it was just ****ing terrifying. :p

Not a film. A new season. Probably going to be cel-shaded, seeing as it's a France-Japan co-production.
Tekkaman Blade became Teknoman for Western audiences, both seasons were translated and brought across, and they were shown in Australia before the USA.
