I got Fat Princess, who else did? Played a bit of Single Player, the bots seem pretty annoying, but I still need to try controlling the AI.

Who is up for a game on Sunday night? 9pm Eastern?

It looks like it's a pretty universal issue. Sony are apparently 'working on it'.
THIS is why you should have to pay for online service.

That really has nothing to do with anything. PSN was the first out of XBLA & PSN to fix King of Fighters XII's bugs. Both are really pretty equal. One bug doesn't mean a whole service should change.

Turns out friend games work perfectly online. Also, it's a megaton of fun multi.

I've managed to connect to a total of 1 game today, with about 10-15 unsuccessful attempts to connect. Plus I can't join a friend's game or have him join mine. Might revisit it in a few weeks.

I'll think I'll wait until a price cut/update. I mean wipeout HD was worth the $30 IMO but this more like $15 at least. I still want to play this game but the asking price is a bit steep at the moment.

I managed about an 80% success rate with game joining today, which I was quite taken with. That said, it really should be hovering around 95-99%.

As for multiplayer games where I've been on the winning team, however, that percentage is still sitting at zero -_-

It's common occurance for games to get released with a network issue lately. BF1943, FP, KoF12. Poor user testing? Or not testing with a wide enough situation setting?

It sounds like the problem of matches dragging on too long could be easily solved by the addition of a sudden death mode at the end of a predetermined time limit (like TF2).

got it today, Ive had about 50/50 chance of online play, but so have i am enjoying it. Need to setup some kind of hyper night once the game gets patched.

Going off my five consecutive failures to connect to a game, I'd say probably not.

It's a seriously great little game when it actually works, though. They can't get it patched up puickly enough.

It might be less than a week, if my last couple of days play are anything to go by. I've not failed to connect to a single game, and the lag isn't quite as bad as it was (although still there).

Got this on release and didn't think much of it. It was worth noting that was in single player, after not touching it for ages I booted her up a few nights ago online and had a blast so I'm definitely up for some matches.

First off, we want to thank all of you for playing and supporting Fat Princess with all of your suggestions and responses on the boards. You have given us a ton of very valuable information which has helped us to track down the majority of the connection issues.

We’re happy to announce that we’re releasing a patch late tonight, Friday August 7, to help fix some of these connection issues. This will be released for N. America region, with patches for Europe and Asia to follow as soon as possible.

We’re also going to be tweaking some of the point balances and classes based on fan feedback. Several of you have also been asking about the player ranks. Here’s an explanation:

Rankings are awarded as you accrue the following points:

* Squire – 500-599
* Private – 600-699
* Corporal – 700-799
* Sergeant – 800-899
* Ensign – 900-999
* Lieutenant – 1000-1249
* Captain – 1250-1499
* General – 1500-1749
* Warlord – 1750-1999
* Sir (Dame) – 2000-2249
* Baron (Baroness) – 2250-2499
* Earl (Countess) -2500-2999
* Duke (Duchess) – 3000-3499
* Lord (Lady) – 3500-3999
* Prince (Princess) – 4000-4499
* King (Queen) – 4500+
