Halo 3 - Play With Me

I play Halo 3, I'm looking for others to play with. I know lots of people still play Halo 3 and it would be excellent to play with you guys. Is anyone interested?

by this i'm assuming you get all the maps for free when you buy odst? if so, awesome, as i'm in the same boat.

I'm 90% sure it comes with a bonus disc with all of Halo 3's maps, including DLC (and maybe a few extras but I'm not sure).

I thought it would just be on the same disk as ODST. In any case, if you buy ODST, you get all the previous maps, plus three new ones.

^ This is true. They are both better than me too (in case you want to level up).

I would love to, but I don't know wtf goes on half the time. The 2nd time I ever played multiplayer was last week. We had to fight with swords (WTF), then there was a bomb and I kept running into the other base thinking it was my own.

I still play loads of Halo. Lots of LAN's, heaps of online matchmaking, and a fair few custom games nights with all sorts of custom maps.

Been tinkering with a couple of maps in Forge mode. If i'm online then give me a shout and we can have some games.

We usually play some Social Matchmaking (Skirmish, Slayer, DLC, Big Team) and then sqeeze in some custom games on some of the great Forged maps out there.

Had a few good games last night with some mates. We usually hook up most weekends, and i'm even online alot of weeknights too if time permits.

I'm planning on having a big custom games night in a couple of weeks. It will be all about Team based games on custom forged maps. I'll definately post here when i figure out a date so if anyone wants to join in for some fun they can. Dont worry, we dont have any 'Generals' playing or anything like that. Most of us only play Social Matchamking and are 'Master Sergeants', a few ranked officers play occasionally. But we dont take our custom nights seriously at all, and its a good laugh and some T-Bags to go with it.

Will keep this thread posted on the date.

I had a crack at this just now and I don't think much of it.

I'm just going through basic training because I've never played online before, and the 4-player games are pretty good to ease new players into the game. What sucked, though, was that:

- Out of 4 games, no game had all 4 players right til the end
- In 2 of those games, the winner was someone who had definitely played before or I would classify as experienced. Getting beaten is fine, but losing 25-6-5 is just confusing seeing as I was the only person in any game to have completed the single player campaign on Legendary (admittedly several months ago).
- The controller absolutely blows for online FPS
- I'm also confused as to why I can be chased down and meleed in the back; it's not like there's a sprint key

So yeah, I think I'll just stick to TF2.

Personally, I don't see what's wrong with the controller. It's my favourite FPS pad of all time, and I can't wait to play PD with it.

It was Slayer with 4 people, which I thought was good, but the skill level of supposed "recruits" really irked me.

Write it down and clear your schedule. I'll be waiting in the lobby and ready to kick off some Halo3 custom games. Depending on numbers i'd like to run a combination of individual, multiteam, and big team gametypes. Got LOADS of forged custom maps that i've downloaded over time, and all are great fun to play.

Its all about having a few laughs and nothing too serious. Friendly T-Bags are not uncommon during my custom nights, so expect some friendly trash banter ;)

Most of the guys who regularly show up are not the greatest halo players known to man, but we go hard and enjoy ourselves. Please feel free to throw your hat in the ring and come along. General Ninjas or lowly private, all are welcome.
