Looks like our effeminate sounding Prime Minister John Key is sashaying over the ditch to have a yarnburger with your equivalent the Ruddmeister.

On the agenda is streamlined airtravel between the two countries that will "be a more domestic like experience."

Linky-poo here: http://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/news/article.cfm?c_id=1&objectid=10591311

Also on the agenda is a single market economy and tax law would also be discussed.

It seems to me that all this foreplay will eventually lead to Rudd bending Key over and Australia and New Zealand will become, for all intents and purposes, a single economic 'entity'.

You guys and girls ok with this? Yay or nay?

As long as New Zealand is the bitch of the relationship I couldn't care less.

Hot topic I see!

I'm actually for this. Europe has the EU, which has its own problems in that the countries with the better economies don't really want anything to do with it (I'm looking at you, UK), a lot of the southern Asian countries have form ASEAN and America was just a union of different states to start with, why shouldn't Australia and New Zealand form some sort of partnership? Could be useful in the long run to have a partnership between us, seeing as we are so much alike.

Wasn't NZ originally going to be part of Federation but they backed out?

My Australian history is pretty balls so don't quote me on that

Increased trade will mean more Holdens and less Toyotas for NZ. Count me out :p

Australians already claim their entertainers as our own and they already migrate here to take our unemployment benefits, we might as well make it official. [/bogan humour]
