Think this is classified as a General Gaming thread since its out on WiiWare apparently
Anyway the 2nd episode is out now for those who want to start downloading. Should've been out yesterday instead of 3am, damn USA release date. I'm too tired to start playing so I'll wait till tomorrow, from what I've heard from PALGN its another solid game although Guybrush's character model still looks horrible and Elaine could've gotten a better voice actor. Really hate listening to her

I'm gonna have to check these out, but I may wait until they (IF they do) reach retail, much like Sam 'n Max did.

I'm glad I didn't stay up to wait for the download if it wasn't up until 3am our time... I'm just downloading it now, I really enjoyed the first episode. I'm sure I'll enjoy this too. I hope they ramped up the difficulty for this one.
Just did the first puzzle. Great fun, but very easy :)

Took me a while to do the first puzzle, one of those "so obvious but you don't even realise it". I think I went through all the dialogue before I solved it :p I liked listening to the Bounty Hunter though and constantly talking about the mast :D And also "who's stupid enough to lose 2 wedding rings?" *parrot pops up*
Telltale are still using that annoying audio compression so the words that contain 'S' are really distracting on the ears

I can't say I've ever found the audio to be so bad in any Telltale game that it annoys me except for in this episode... It's truly shocking :( Anyway I've just finished this episode and I thoroughly enjoyed it. More so than the first episode but apart from one puzzle, I thought it was easier than the Episode 1.
I was just messing about with the treasure hunting thing in the first game and won a coupon for 50% of any season of a Telltale game. :D

If you look at their behind the scenes stuff they actually use proper audio recording equipment, like stuff you'd find for dubbing anime/red vs blue - yet they still cheap out on the audio mainly because they're making it for the WiiWware/Wii and can't be bothered making 2 versions

Finished the episode, not bad but god-damnit I would've liked it more if it weren't for the voice quality - everytime somebody said something I wanted to skip through the dialogue. At least the music was perfectly fine, suited the game well - I think the music has always been a highlight in the Telltale games although shame there's no catchy tunes.
Most of the puzzles were quite easy, it missed some of those ingenious puzzles like the lab room. A lot of it was simply going back & forth and picking up stuff you missed because it wasn't so obvious
Overall, a 7/10 from me. I'm pleased to say that there weren't any repeated environments, something I always hated about the S&M series

I wonder if it will come to XBLA ?

Can't see why they wouldn't, what with the SoMI Special Edition just having come out on LIVE, and Sam & Max being released on it too. Although, Sam & Max took AGES to come out on LIVE, so if it does happen, maybe it won't be anytime soon.

For anyone who wants to try it, they're giving away the first episode for free for 24 hours. It says this Saturday but that's GMT. As of my posting time, I think the offer was starting in about 15 hours.
More details here. (http://www.telltalegames.com/community/blogs/id-503)

3rd episode is out now and they've finally fixed the audio's S words! I'm pretty sure they have anyway, it sounds like its been smoothed out but at the same time it feels like the problem's still there. Perhaps I'm over-hearing it because I'm listening too carefully :p Apparently Murray the talking skull is in this episode, woo!
I've only played about 30min so far, the puzzles have been really easy especially during the questionnaire where it allows you to remember stuff you saw/heard rather than a test of skill. Seems like another good episode but I'm still wishing the character models were smoothed out, would be nice if they at least tried to make more graphical achievements with each episode.

Personally I think they would've been better off leaving it looking like it did in 'Curse of'. 2D, rich colours, good artwork.

I think the problem was 2D click'n'point games just aren't popular in today's world (making it too risky) and I'm pretty sure it requires a bigger budget
