All Aussies are generally on Swiftsure, but just be aware of the large queue times during peak hours.

I really like the conversation mechanics, although I'm guessing the "dice roll" for who responds isn't exactly random.

It is but within a group. The answer chosen will be the majority answer chosen by the group and the person who gives the answer is randomly selected from the people who chose the 'winning' answer.

So Operative is playing out kinda like a druid, but I'm not entirely sure about how it's going. I guess I'm still early, at level 15 or so, but I feel like I'm still not sure when I should be using each of the attacks. Fun so far at least.

And thinking of going from Armstech to Biochem. Just does't seem as useful as I was thinking.

Created a Mercenary Bounty Hunter named Too'Jazzy. Probably the most fun class I've played so far. I would still like to make a Sith juggernaut, Jedi Shadow, Sith Sorcerer and maybe a vanguard, gunslinger and operative.

You also get a bonus to your rolls if you keep losing, so the conversation isn't always the same person.

Good that people seem to be enjoying themselves. I'm not looking to get this but I'd like to see it succeed.

With any luck they'll spin off some single player RPGs from it if it's a huge success. If it got a tepid response you can bet they'll conclude people don't want Star Wars anymore (and cancel Battlefront/Rogue Squadron/X-Wing vs Tie-Fighter/Dark Forces etc.)

I think we can actually even BLAME ToR for the lack of new Star Wars games. EA would not have been willing to spend even more than the (hundreds of?) millions concurrent to ToRs development, in a sense ToR may have been sucking oxygen from Star Wars games for six years. A massive success would put a lot of loose cash about for new games... one would hope.

I've given up on my Sith Warrior. The voice acting for the Sith race is abysmal and it didn't suit my character's hulking physique, breaking the immersion every time he spoke. So, now I have a Rattataki Sith Assassin (named Saurus), who's voice really suits him.

For this first month I'm pretty much gonna keep levelling alts through to 15-20 so that I can get a feel for how they play. At the moment my Mercenary stands out from the pack.

hit 46 on my Smuggler today. sucks that I'm mainly working weekends at the moment as it means I won't be able to finish that final stretch until next week. Sucks a little though as it seems to be difficult to get groups on my server (at least during the levelling stages) and all my mates are still in the mid to late 30's.

Played all day yesterday on my sentinel, now level 24. It doesn't feel as powerful as the BH, probably because I don't have a healing companion. However, the changes that Bioware have made to the combat are great, so melee is definitely not as unresponsive as it was before. Sentinel feels a bit harder to play, and more interesting, than a Mercenery.

Hit 50 on my Gunslinger and have moved to playing my Juggernaut since no one else in my guild is high enough for endgame yet. Enjoying the juggernaut since I have a lot more survivability, but getting use to tanking since the last time I tanked on anything was Burning Crusade.

there are definitely not enough space missions, and all are very much in the 'this is way too ****ing easy' zone, especially when you compare it to lylat wars or even SF: Assault.

Make flying about flying, cos atm this flight-sim is more a -control the direction you're falling - sim. Think about it.


The other part of the game is fun too. I'm meant to rp my inquisitor as a different guy, but the sarcasm options are just too funny.

I also want to reroll so I get a hotter companion.

Nothing we didn't really know already, but we'll get local servers on the 1st March with a limited time offer for players in the region to swap to a local server. Sounds like people will be getting an email to tell them they can transfer, so if you used an abroad address on your account I'd suggest changing to be able to transfer.

Yep, started an Agent alt on the PvE server. Been getting between 15-50 ping from Sydney. After around 5pm server is pretty packed in the first 3 planets so far.

Yeah, I think I'll wait until the transfers happen. My Jedi Knight is up to level 32 and I've played Bounty Hunter and Trooper up to level 10 so even if I did start a new characted it probably wouldn't be one of them.

One thing I'm not keen on is the fact that even though we've got Australia servers they're still going to do all maintenance and upgrades at the times they're doing them now. Kinda sucks seeing as that's our peak times.

that's milliseconds. So rather than packets taking .2 seconds to go back and forth, which is the quickest I think I've ever had either WoW or swtor go at, stuff takes .03 seconds to respond.

Yes, that's good. No more of that delay I've always come to expect from MMOs, it feels like things are near instant, as they should feel.

Started up a Sith Inquisitor on the PvE server last night. Go him up to level 11 and just on Dromund Kaas before my body went "Bed time!". Quite enjoying it so far. I'm starting to think my computer is just not quite good enough for this game. I still get a bit of chugging, but it's playable.

Been chasing datacrons for a while, but these last 2 on Tatooine are mongrels. Apparently you have to wait for a balloon for anything up to an hour then ride it for half an hour to be able to jump off it onto a sandcrawler and if you miss you get to do it all again!

I'm still around but been playing casually for abit now. Playing on Dalborra cause i'm a carebear. The difference in ping from US to Oceanic is pretty noticeable especially playing a Sith warrior.

Just had my characters transferred to Dalborra as well. 70ms ping isn't great, but it's a hell of a lot better than the 400ms I was getting with the Euro servers.

Just relented and rolled on Dalborra, empire Externus (sith warrior) and Jacobb (jedi consular). I'm enjoying the Sith much more so I think this will be my main.

They always take them down at that time. They don't localise maintenance times, they just do it when the least amount of people are playing the game across all servers. It's bloody annoying.
