I've noticed that a few of you have a few games 'on the go' as it were at the same time.

I'm completely different; I concentrate on one game at a time when I play games. Then onto the next one.

How do you guys play your games?

Several at once. Which isn't a good thing as it leads to a stack of unfinished games.

I like playing several games at a time, its good because if I get to a really frustrating part in one game, I'll just play something else.

Several at once. Occasionally i'll focus on one so I can get rid of it.

This is what happens to me, except I never go back and try to over come that frustrating part.

Usually have a few on the go, whether it's the latest release, handheld games (played on the train) or whatever I'm reviewing for Pixel Hunt, there's something I have to complete somewhere.

Several at once. Which isn't a good thing as it leads to a stack of unfinished games.

That is an issue, especially when I buy multiple games close together. Biggest problem is around the xmas release period.

Usually several at once, unless there's a really big name release, then I'll probably focus on that for a while.

I tend to focus on one title at a time, but with that being said there are still a handful that I bust out even when I'm in the middle of some other game. Things like GH, RB, SFIV, TF2, Battle Fantasia, Peggle and so on still get pulled out even when I'm up to my eye balls in some single player campaign.

I picked depends really, as it really is a combination of both. Sometimes I'll get a game and be totally focused on it until I'm done with it (Assassin's Creed, Bioshock, Mass Effect). Other times I'll play it in a rotation with other games depending on what I feel like playing when I switch my console on.

Take Batman: AA for example, I thought I would have played this through before playing other games, but I haven't touched it for days as I haven't been in the mood for it.

If there's multiple good games out, I'll play a few at a time, but usually no more than three. When I play multiple titles I don't tend to milk everything the way I normally do (unlockables, higher difficulties, achievements etc) but usually when there's a lull I'll come back and really finish off games I genuinely enjoyed.

I usually have different games going at once for different situations (co-op, single player, online).

I prefer to focus on one game completely until it's finished, but that's really only been possible with a few games that are either made by Bioware, have an original concept (that works) or are polished to nigh-on perfection (MGS series, Mass Effect, KotOR, Batman:AA, etc). Working in a games store and having access to almost everything has probably contributed to my not wanting to put any effort into games that use the same, tired conventions.

Add to that the advent of uni and a girlfriend and my time gets spread over games pretty thin these days, so I can only afford to pay attention to the best. =p

I tend to do this, though I'm more like, "now I feel like playing an rts" or "today I'm gonna fps it up", etc.

Usually several. I'll always be constantly playing some form of music rhythm game, that's a given, and usually at the same time I'll be playing a 360 game, something on PC and something on DS, whichever one I feel like playing at the time.

Although that said I usually only play one game on each respective platform at a time.

Its a bit of a rotation for me, sometimes if the story is really good, i'll stick to that game for a while, if i leave that game and play something totally opposite of its genre, say for example: an RPG, then switching to an fps shooter. What im basically trying to say is that if the story is catchy, stick to that game for a while so you can enjoy the game and what unravels, if you go off and play randoms, your probably going to forget about some of the storyline and not seem as interested in the rpg.

It depends on a lot of things, for me. If there are a lot of games coming out on a regular basis (ie. the leadup to and including the Christmas holiday period), I might have several on the go at once but in the early to mid-year "lean period" I might focus especially on one for a while.

A few at once. I like variety, and I like to be able to play something that suits my mood / how much time I have. And I always have a multiplayer game ready to go (TF2 atm).
