I'm so depressed, someone stole my backpack with a Final Fantasy Crisis Core Edition PSP in it while I was playing with my daughter in Glebe...
If anyone picks up this kind of PSP that might be it, I'll write up the serial number later, please let me know, I'll gladly compensate for the money spent; it has some pictures of my daughter on it, as well as some music and it's got a cfw... Also I still have the recharge cable for it so if you picked up a the CC edition PSP with no charger, it might be it...

Did you happen to own a game called Fifa for it? I bought a psp off my friend was the bare essentials, and i definatly know he doesnt play soccer games at all, yet alone me. I get the feeling that he nicked it in a park or something and sold it to me cheap.

But this isn't even the proper way to solve it, what's the chance that one of the 300 odd people, most of which live in a different state, might I add, on here have bought it or seen it? Think before you post, bro.

Well, for one, there is no real solution here in the end; even if someone finds my PSP and returns it, it really hasn't solved the fact that someone stole it from me.
On the other hand, what are the chances that someone here hasn't seen it?
The way I figure, you either have seen it or you haven't... 1 out of 2 is a 50% percent chance, right? so why not try, I'm not asking you to don on the Batsuit and go out to see whether the Joker or Killer Croc stole my PSP, am I?
And what other suggestions have you got for me to try and find it?

I'm working through the pawn shops that are within range of the Sydney CBD, I keep an eye on it on the street, I'm putting up some notices, and I'm asking people on forums [which are related to games and consoles] whether they've seen it?

In my experience typically the police can't really help in situations like this. It's not like they go full csi on every case that comes their way. I agree with Kotche, stfu or help.

Well, just to wrap up this strange tale of theft; someone returned my backpack [which was stolen] with everything in it, including the PSP yesterday. They put it next to my building, found it while going to do the laundry. So, yeah, me happy now.
It does bring me to a funny situation of having two PSPs now since I went and bought another one [Crisis Core edition], not sure whether I'll sale the new one or not..
Reminds me of another time when someone stole our TV. My wife put on a couple of posters saying, literally : "Whoever took our TV, please bring it back" and a week later it was back [strangely, next to the building as well, nearly the same place :D];
