Actually, it's a thing for the magazine. People were invited to play soon-to-be-released games and Hyper was going to report on what people thought of them. From memory, only one meeting ended up happening.

Well considering that it's something that they want to continue (unless it is being replaced by byteside), it's fair to say the section remains because it is waiting for the next event to be announced.

"NEVER" just means nothing has been posted in it ever. All new subforums have that text until someone puts something in it. The Hyper Lounge was cleared out during the hack.

I'm a little disappointed that they haven't announced a new event for the Lounge. The last one was good fun (albeit brief) and there was word the next one wasn't going to be far away.
