Note: Okay, first off, this is basically me trying to get THIS THREAD (http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=232550) to happen here on Hyper.
In this thread we post pictures, articles, videos and so on about video games. However, the theme is of stuff that blows your mind. Things you never noticed when playing a game years ago or what you perceived something to be within a game as a kid. Cannot unsee, etc.
I'll get the ball rolling with the SMB cloud bush.

Notice that the cloud and the small bush uses the same sprite, but coloured differently.

Blade Runner
Before becoming prominent actresses on prime time TV, both Pauley Perrette (NCIS - Abby) and Lisa Edelstein (House M.D. - Cuddy) were voice actors for supporting characters in the video game adaption of Blade Runner.
Also of note is the fact Pauley Perrette is 40 years old, making her 10 years older than Cote de Pablo (Ziva) and 8 years older than Sean Murray (McGee).
Also on Blade Runner; the film was noted for the city scape featuring massive billboards of notable corporations such as Atari, Coca Cola, Pan AM, etc. After the films release these corporations suffered huge financial losses, with Pan Am eventually filing for bankruptcy. This was known as the Blade Runner Curse and would seem to carry over to the video game adaption as it was developed by Westwood Studios who would then be bought by EA, and eventually shut down.
Beneath a Steel Sky
Programmers for the Amiga version left the following note within the executable;
At the beginning the programmers were happy and did rejoice at their task, for the Amiga before them did shineth and was full of promise. But then they did look closer and did see'th the awful truth; it's floppies were tiny and sloweth (rareth was its hard drive). And so small was it's memory that did at first appear large; queereth also was its configuration(s). Then they did findeth another Amiga, and this was slightly different from the first. Then a third, and this was different again. All different, but not really better, for all were pseudo backward compatible. But, eventually, it did come to pass that Steel Sky was implemented on a 1meg os-legal CBM Amiga. And the programmers looked and saw that it was indeed a miracle. But they were not joyous and instead did weep for nobody knew just what had been done.

Awesome Jubei, your find?
My trivia is that the Faith No More song "RV" basically plagarises* the Mario Bros underwater music for its main guitar riff:

I thought it was because King Kong is trademarked?
It's actually a bit of both. Miyamoto had originally called Donkey Kong (the character) King Kong, as he has stated that it was a term used to describe any large ape in Japan at the time (no doubt thanks to the movie). He has also said that Donkey Kong got his name because he thought "Donkey" was a slang term for "stupid" in America.
The similarities between King Kong and Donkey Kong actually resulted in Universal Studios suing Nintendo for infringement on their film's characters and scenario. Nintendo's counsel, John Kirby, countered in court that Universal had actually proven that King Kong was in the public domain in a previous court battle, and thus Nintendo won.
This is also one of the theories surrounding the origin of Kirby's name; that Nintendo named him in honor of the man that effectively made them a force to be reckoned with in the U.S.
Everything about the suit can be read here (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Universal_City_Studios,_Inc._v._Nintendo_Co.,_Ltd. ).

The Pokemon "Mareep" is a yellow sheep, it's name backwards is Pee Ram and is also an anagram for "Rape me".
