Here at the Hyper forums we have an automatic system in place to reward users the more they contribute to the forums.
The system is also used to limit the privileges of spambots or users who sign up just to cause trouble. The various levels in the system are explained below.
NB: Any active Red Cards on your account will take away any bonus privileges you have earned.
Users awaiting Moderation
This is the first group users are automatically placed in when they sign up.
Users in this group:
Cannot create threads
Cannot upload a signature image or avatar
Cannot use reputation
Registered Users
This is the normal group for users. You have all the regular privileges and lose the restrictions placed on new accounts.
To upgrade to this group you must:
Be registered for at least 7 days
Make at least 5 posts
Linked Image Signatures
This group is a small upgrade on the Registered Users group. Members in this group can additionally use the [img] tags in their signature to link images such as gamertags. However the images must still fall within the Signature Guidelines.
To be promoted to this group you must:
Be registered for at least 180 days (6 months)
Make at least 50 posts
Custom Titles
This group is reserved for people who have made a long term committment to the forums. Once you join this group you also gain the ability to set a custom user title.
To be promoted to this group you must:
Be registered for at least 1095 days (3 years)
Make at least 150 posts
All usergroup promotions are made automatically once every hour, so don't expect the change to happen as soon as you meet the criteria. If you believe that you should have been promoted and have not been, and definitely fulfill all the crtieria please contact an Administrator.
