The PS3's biggest failure?
Will it be worth anything for its flaws in 20-30-100 years from now?
Are four questions too much in a introductory post?

Wouldn't the PS3's biggest failure be the PS3?

The PS3 seems pretty successful to me.......

For that title I reckon it'd be a death match between Lair and Haze...
The most disappointing thing about Lair is the fact that it was the last title Factor 5 made before they shut down. I'm still yet to play the game though (I read they added a different control method in so maybe it would be worth playing now?)
Did they put trophy support in this game?

This is a horrible nightmare and I want to wake up now. :(
Seriously though, all the developers I looked up to as a child are bankrupt or ****ed-up. Rare have done ****-all since Microsoft bought them; Rare-splinter Free Radical put out a huge ****-off lemon, went bankrupt, and became Crytek UK; Sony turned Factor 5 CA into a test pilot for the ill-fated sixaxis, they put out this piece of turd and now they're for all intents and purposes dead; and Acclaim Entertainment died during the last ****ing generation, which freed the Turok franchise to be snapped up and raped by ****ing Disney.
Oh, and Ensemble Studios was closed recently, SEGA turned shit and Nintendo turned casual. The future can **** off.
Nintendo turned casual.
>>implying they weren't already

If Lair turned out good that would have been a first for Factor 5.

Are you serious?
Rouge Squadron was in my top 5 favourite N64 games and Rogue leader was probably my favorite Gamecube game.

Both of those games were ordinary at best, they controlled like absolute ass and if they weren't affiliated with Star Wars no one would give a **** about them. Rogue Leader must be one of the most frustrating games I have ever had the displeasure of controlling, which is a shame because it looked so goddamn pretty. It should not have surprised anyone when Lair released with some of the worst control mechanics this gen.

Those Star Wars games on N64/GC certainly aren't like the original games on PC. Nor are they like Wing Commander 3 or Wing Commander 4. They certainly aren't like the 3 Colony Wars games.
In short the N64/GC games are complete arse compared to the above mentioned games.

We serously must've been playing different games. I thought the controls on both were sublime and didnt hinder me at all from getting gold medals on every mission. You seriously thought Rogue Leader was one of the worst controlling games you've ever played? I have a lot of trouble fathoming that.

What HiredMan said.
I know you're never supposed to blame the player for failing to grasp the controls (even though fifty thousand other big classics had far-from-ubiquitous control schemes), but if you couldn't handle them, then that's just tough cookies for you - the Rogue Squadron games were awesome for me.

That part in Rogue Leader where you had to do the old 'trip the AT-AT' was infuriating.
