Ultimate Gamer.. your thoughts?

I dont mind it as im interested in most things that contain gaming I just wished they got rid of the reality challenges and stuck to the gaming. Its only 2 episodes in so that may change when they do the driving tests etc. I will continue to watch it so I suppose its done its purpose at this stage.


Its on Fox 8 on Foxtel on thursday nights.

Yeah it's ok .. but the actual contestants aren't that great gamers (though it's a bit hard to tell .. because the footage of the game competitions is edited too much) .. but it's a reality show format so that's expected I guess.

As i stated I think they should get rid of the reality BS and focus on the gaming as thats the target audience. Am i right or do they want another "the hills" with controllers?

I just watched the 'PGR4' episode, and it really highlighted how awful they are as gamers. PGR4 is not a difficult game, but these 'gamers' couldn't stay off the walls, or even hold a proper line. Terrible.

Still, not a bad show to watch each week.

It isn't better than Good Game. It cannot be compared to Good Game. That would be like comparing Scarface to Along Came Polly.

Okay, I guess Scarface is indisputably better than Along Came Polly, but point still (poorly) made.

I admit just watched it and they COMPLETLEY SUCK, if they are pro gamers then fk us Aussies should get the show and then get a rivalry show happening as I rekon I would Lay waste to them and I dont consider my self a pro by any standard. (apart from FPS on death match :P )

This weeks showed that dance games are shit when it comes to an entertaining reality show and shouldnt be considered as a game that "professional" gamers would play, and that you cant trust girls that look like pixies. Either way a series is supposed to build tension as it goes however this show is mediocre at best.

This weeks halo 3 episode could have been the chance for this show to shine... However it was lame, the only good thing was that the asian guy with the strips for hair got taken out because of that pixie looking chic with the things stuck on her face threw the game.

This show is pretty bad, the games they play are pretty terrible and the gamers are losers (except Swoozie).

One of the guys was a proper starcraft player, so he actually knew what he was doing when it came to a game.

I swear I could beat all of them at the games, and I'm honestly not that great.

Is it really more important to get personality (best word I could find) rather then good game skills? Understandable that we don't want to see a full asain based show, but come on.

I wanna see them do a COD 4 death match Episode sinsce the halo show was weak. Then as a second round they could go up against some cod4 professionals. Its the real life challenges that lose my interest as they are not needed IMO.
