Hi guys,

Ok, let's use this thread to organise some online Uncharted 2 multiplayer matchups.

First night I propose is this Sunday 01/11/09 at around 7:30pm.

How does this night suit?

Also, I haven't had any experience with Playstation's online offering... is there something similar to the 360 party rooms where we can gather first?

... probably should buy a headset too.

I was looking to play some MP earlier in the week but didn't have any luck connecting. Had about 4 or 5 goes, told me it was connecting, then I suddenly got signed off! Frustrating as hell!!

QLD = 3:03pm
NSW/Vic = 4:03pm
SA = 3:33pm

That's right SA is ahead of QLD. F*** I hate this state sometimes.

There is a chat thing in the friends list that lets you voice and text chat in groups I think, no idea if that can be extended into a game or if we have to a separate chat thing within game


I've got my blutooth headset working. It's some cheapie I can't find the instructions for and it only has 2 buttons with vague symbols on them so after 10 minutes of random button pushing I got it to connect and pick up my voice and after another 5 minutes I worked out how to turn it off.

Does need more people though, so either more of you show up next time .. or we take a gamble at trying to play together with randoms .. since I dont think you can just join a friends game .. anyone know if you can? Slashy have you got the game yet?

Yeah I had a look at the options, I assume that when you set ours up you went custom game? Because if you go to Random match instead (or quick match or whatever the first option is) you can create a party from there then it will go off and find a suitable game

Yeah, great fun! Cheers guys. I find it's a good pace for me, a bit slower than the CoD games. Meant I didn't get totally smashed. :)

Haha, sorry for the late show. I'm really loving it though and would love to get in some serious game time so i'm up whenever you guys are.

The 2 on 2 was great fun... kept it more tactical as opposed to be a blind shootfest that are the larger games.

2 on 1 was a right pain... but you guys did really well with your flank tactics (lousy stevo). I forgot you could grab someone from a ledge so knew stevo was coming up the ladder and i was waiting to shower him with bullets... only to get thrown off and killed :P I was happy to come back to bring the game to 7-7 after being down 6-1.

I'll have to get myself a bluetooth headset so I can chat with you guys... any recommendations?

I'm just using some $30 cheapie bluetooth headset and it seemed to work fine so I don't know if there's a need to splurge on the official one

Just grab a Jabra headset, it should work fine.

I bought the official headset, I suppose the main advantage is that it comes with a little cradle to charge/store it .. so I just have it right next to the PS3 as it charges via USB. You get a nice little battery meter on screen like the PS3 controller as well .. but other than that any bluetooth headset will do the same thing.

The 2 v. 2 was the best game for sure. If we get a couple more people, a 3 on 3 would be great, as the maps are big enough to accomodate.

I just finished the single player in Hard mode today .. :D such an awesome ride from start to finish .. so now I might play a bit more multiplayer for a bit of practice, as it's quite a different game playing aganist real people instead of the AI.

Regarding which night is best .. Wed/Thur should be fine for me, I'm back to work Wed so it'll give me something to look forward to :p

The only thing I have a problem with with the official one is that it doesn't sit properly in my ear. Obviously this won't be the case for most people, but be warned if you do have smallish earholes then it could be a problem.

BTW, I spent a good few hours playing MP tonight... and all I have to say is Co-Op Arena is awesome. We definitely should be doing that if there's only 2-3 of us.

I played this a little in the morning, good fun, seems to be a bit of delay trying to pickup ammo though, maybe because of my bad ping. Luckily everything else seemed fine, I did one map where I nearly fell into a hole and held onto the ledge, then a guy approached me and started firing, I grabbed his feet and tossed him to his doom :D Then whilst I was doing that another guy found me and shot me, damnit

How exactly do I spend money on multiplayer skins? Haven't worked that out yet, I'm on level 3 so far and have about $5000. Playing against people I don't know is annoying, so many goddamn gangster americans on voicechat - can barely understand what they're saying "Yo, I bust a cap in your ass and ride your momma all the way to school!" wtf?

umm.. don't think so, no =[ I havent played mission objective coop yet.. but survival is pretty fun! =]

Nah the Coop is special small missions, the one I played was like a survival based level, good fun .. would be awesome playing with friends.

Nope. There's a co-op mode that has a selection of a few of the levels from the campaign (but with objectives and enemies geared towards co-op) and it can be played with up to 3 players. There's also a co-op survival mode along with another survival mode with some gold rush flavour (ie. you grab the idol and try to deliver it to its capture point while fighting off waves of enemies). The two different survival-type modes use a selection of maps from the competitive multiplayer.
