Awww, yellow isn't too horrible. It's when it's red. Then you have the wonderful options of quitting and giving up a loss (not that big a deal to me) or setting up camp on a nice narrow.

I'll also consider quitting if it's yellow and I can't seem to kill them even if I spray my P90 with rapid fire 10 seconds before they hit the corner I'm turning.

Also I'm down to play with anyone who is going to be on a couple of hours from this post. I'm planning on hitting up some Headquarters/TD/S&D depending on what the flavour of the day seems. Try getting some green games in and handing it to the Americans as per usual.

I've plainly hinted at Merc Team Death before. Now I'm going to bring the noise. First of all, yeah I'm that dude that is loud, has a weird accent, and has a brother that is learning to CoD again (Mod1 Vet). Second, the reason we can party chat is because I get one of us to seed a Mercenary Team Deathmatch. He waits until the game ends. Some Americans bail. Then he invites me to take up a slot. Then like snow, we flood the lobby. Thus giving us beautiful chat, beautiful connection, and we get to smash the other Americans. Mostly because they come in seperate, not a team. Americans not using unity? Uh oh. Yep. So this is what I have been doing. Just getting a bunch of mates in. Sure, some games I have to play it out yellow. I'm still good though. Holding off my K/D at 1.33 or something close. Which is good considering I have 1900ish kills.

Haha sorry man. Been trying desperately to make up the 400 kills in the negative I got in my first day of playing. Only 45 to go and then I'll slow down! :p Also blame the Mrs for being too damn busy to keep me away from CoD!

Ahh yeah, that explains it. I noticed your K/D climbing. I like to keep tabs of my friends K/D in general. I've been hammering at it too. I won't be satisfied with anything less than 1.5 K/D ratio. I know I'm better than this. I had to climb myself. Dipped below 1 when I was learning the maps.

Now I'm more comfortable with all maps with exception to Underpass (low visibility, dreary, sniper-laden) that map is seriously frustrating. I'm not much for sharpshooting. Sure I can do full map length assault rifle barrages/lucky kills. That's where it stops. Old hawkeyes can't be all eyes all the time.

Special mention to Karachi. I first hated this map. Then I learnt it's delicate design. Now it's love.

After my last rigging of Merc TD. I've found an easier and much more enjoyable way. Not to mention the chance of host pulling is amazing. Assuming you have someone who can host.

Follow, host, enjoy MW2 for a change:
-Invite friends to party
-Have one person ready the rest
-Everyone getting ready go to the party chat screen
-Chosen person searches for Merc TD
-Everyone who is ready swamp join session in progress

People joining MUST join session in progress as the percentage is ticking over for the one searching. After you cram everyone in, it usually gives you your own lobby for others to join. If not that then it merges and you can usually steal host anyway. If you can manage to rake up enough friends, hopefully you can avoid playing in yellow now.

Had 8 friends test this with me. Worked like a charm. We got host over some big mouth Americans. Shotgun to the face with host to show dominance. /Satisfaction

Edit: I hope Sunday is still on. I've been making some classes I'd very much like to test.

Was very good fun. I especially loved seeing how the gameplay evolved. Near the end you were placing some very strategical claymores Starscream. Caught me off guard more than once. Special mention to Jay's incredible back of the head headshot. Bullet in one end, eye out the other. Hahahaha.

Shame Cian and Donkey were too busy. Would have been nice to have more to fill out some of the bigger maps. Like Afghan!

I had a bit of trouble adjusting to the SMG at first because I'd go to iron sights a fraction too late and get killed (thanks, Jay!). Only after I learned to embrace my Steady Aim perk did I start getting more kills and even then I was getting almost as good as I gave.

The custom setup I had was specifically tailored for short, tight maps like Rust. It tends to suffer when I employ it in the larger locales. It just lacks the range.

SCAR-H is my suggestion to you. All purpose, fully auto, hella strong, and accurate. I usually use it with steady aim as well. Iron sight only when camping and going for range. Unless you want to move slowly so that you can ADS faster when moving from place to place. It's accuracy can only be harnessed if you burst fire however. That is when you are trying to hit suckers all the way across the map though.

I should have brought it out during Rust. Would have been tactically sound. Knifing people just gives that much more satisfaction though. I also didn't get a chance to try out my sniper. Which is a crying shame. I'm a decent shot. Next Sunday!

Lazlow: Yeah, I've never been a huge fan of Quarry either. Though I did start enjoying it more when I became more familiar with it. My favourite is probably Highrise.

Another thing I realised while playing this MW2 sesh with you lot. Predator Missile, Harrier Airstrike, then Chopper Gunner actually wins. It's as easy as getting 5 kills, drop the Preddy for a double. Then aim your Harrier up and pray for three to four kills with it. If not, make the difference with your gun. After that it's all about chasing them down and making them squirm with Chop Gunner.

I prefer the Pave Low honestly but that's because I'm lazy :D but that setup definitely does work. You could always sub the predator missile for a nuke if you were feeling confident :P.

Tonight was good fun and can't wait until next week when I'll be on a lot earlier.

Actually concentrated on doing some challenges tonight to help level quickly. Gained two levels in the four games, so not bad.

Like I said to Cian: I'm not too worried about K/D ratio, I just want to unlock the weapons.

The only thing I need is Magnum akimbo, after that I'll have to play Spec Ops and finish off the single player campaign.

EDIT: Quite amazing that with one red bar and the lag we were experiencing (Cian, Takeda and myself before everyone joined later) that Cian managed to get 24 kills and only managed to die 5 times, in a 9 vs 9 Domination match. We lost the match but Cian had the top score on the team.

Man those guys were annoying. No one picks on the Chef. Telling you now, I don't take none from Americans (Well technically they were Australians. But in this instance, we'll just call them Americans). I used to sit back and laugh at them mouthing off. I'm just so tired of it now. One and a half years of Halo3 will do that to you.

Shame they have patched it up so we can't manipulate search into giving us host. We keep trying but all we end up doing is lobby loitering. Guess we'll just have to put up with yellow. Not that I mind all that much anymore. Kinda resigned to the lag, and I'm used to raping in it anyway.

Can you post step by step instructions here so we all know what to do. I think I know what we should do but it's best to post it so we're all on the same page.

Okay the easiest way of doing this is getting all the people involved into a party chat first. This should be the responsibility of the person who is going to host/solo search.

1. Everyone seperates.
2. Everyone readies themselves. Host calls out for this and makes sure everyone is prepared. What it involves is everyone bringing up the guide, then going into party, and highlighting the hosts name.
3. Once everyone is prepared, host starts the search in Merc TDM.
4. Soon, the little green symbol next to the hosts name should change. (The host should have everyone join just as it hits 99% on the search)
5. After this, everyone in preparation pushes A on the hosts name and joins session in progress.
6. It works.

The only problem is everyone isn't on the same team. It's funny however because we are all still in chat. Which means I get to hear Hippy whine. We usually get host. It's fun because you don't have coordinated teaming Americans.

There is also another method that makes it not possible to fail, but takes alot longer. It requires quite alot of patience.

1. Anyone goes and searches for a game in Merc TDM.
2. Everyone else waits in party till slots open up.
3. First join, first in.
4. Everyone will eventually get in. Because Americans leave games where they hate the maps because every game is green for them.
5. Eventually host leaves, and we have free reign.

I usually do the other method posted. Because usually it's only me and Lynx. So nothing special. Also doing it helps when you have two. Why should we have to face them in full green AND as a team? Anything to even up the battlefield I say.
