There is a process running called Aaron.exe and it's using up my resources. I was playing a game of Warcraft III when my comp started to chug, I then realised something else must be causing this.
When I checked task manager I saw it in the process section, and I know it's a virus. I just need help getting rid of it.
Anyone had the same thing or know what to do? Right now I'm using this majorgeek link to clean me up, but I don't know how well it will work.

Bleh, alright - what anti-malware (-virus/-spyware/-adware, etc) and/or security software are you running?
You should be relatively impervious in general if you're updating Windows consistently, running a decent AV program, a decent anti-spy/adware program (which may or may not come with the AV program), and a decent firewall (and I'm not going to bother entering into the hardware-vs-software debate). One of the anti-malware systems should be able to expunge whatever's giving you grief, too, so if you're missing one, rectify that situation.
If you're stumped as to what to go with, check AV-Comparatives (http://www.av-comparatives.org/) for lists/tests/whatever on AV systems, or just get the free version (http://www.free-av.de/en/trialpay_download/1/avira_antivir_personal__free_antivirus.html) of Avira (http://www.avira.com/en/pages/index.php) if you can't be bothered thinking; and Spybot (http://www.safer-networking.org/en/index.html) is always good for the spyware etc. Perform scans with the lot of 'em, and save any log files.
Now, if the rudimentary stuff above doesn't fix the problem, you're going to have to give us more information.
First, if you have any logs from running your anti-malware tools already, post them up here.
Second, download the HijackThis (http://free.antivirus.com/hijackthis/) (HJT) installer, and don't do anything with this tool unless told to do so. Some unfortunate people have managed to break several programs in the space of a minute with this tool, because they didn't understand the information the program brings up.
Install, run, and click the "scan and save logfile" button. Don't do anything until it finishes - at which point, the HJT panel panel itself should show a giant list of settings, practically all of which are legit and not to be touched, and a notepad window showing the logfile should appear. c&p the log and post it here, and close HJT.
After that, I guess I (or someone >_>) will sift through and try to figure out what to do about the problem. You might have to run a few more scans with various other tools, but more on that later.
Also, why isn't this in the "my computer's stuffing up" thread?

Taking the easy way out I'd probably backup the files you want to keep, format & do a fresh install of the OS. Or just download Malwarebytes, Avast & Spybot & open the System Configuration Utility & see if there's any weird startup programs on there & tick them off & reset then go back to the task manager to see if its still there

Done all that slashy, and I'm not going to fresh install.
Thanks again Fenrir, you've always helped me out :D. I'm going to run through this Vista cleanup first, I can't see it as being too much of a hassle. I have all the standard (MBAM, AVG, Windows Firewall, Hijackthis) but being the pirating idiot I am have not updated Vista in a while.
I'm installing the updates now, I'd rather have a healthy computer over a dodgy program.
And its not in the help thread because I wanted some immediate attention.
