I got my first CD when I was 10.
I am deeply ashamed to say it was AQUA :(
My second CD was a little better, it was Californication.

C'est La Vie - B*Witched. 9th birthday, and mostly to impress a girl from my class. We made up dance routines to my B*Witched album and her Spice Girls album.

Some Jimmy Barnes/Nathan Cavaleri single that came out of a museli bar box.
Ones that actually matter, I think it would be Offsrping - Smash and Metallica - Reload, bit which I was given for Christmas.

Eh, it's not a terrible album if you ignore all your anti-nostalgia. I mean it's still pretty average, but the best thing they'll ever put out.
First album given to me was a beatles best of when I was about 6, first album
I bought was Americana, like every kid that age that year. After that was the beastie boys anthology. **** yeah.

I find nostalgia is the only thing going for it when I give it a listen

COME ON!
http://funkysouls.com/img/Korn_-_Follow_The_Leader.jpg
IT'S ON!
Nu-metal was at its zenith when I was a young'un. The Bizkit (as the cool kids called them ) was Korn's companion band, Significant Other was the fifth or sixth album I bought. Anyone rememeber All In The Family on this album (Follow the Leader)? It was like a nu-metal-battle between Jon Davis and Fred Durst. We LOVED it.
One of my favoirite early teenage memories involves cranking up this album while playing link-cabled Red Alert on PSX in my room at my mum's, after stealthily flogging the lounge room TV. Good times.
EDIT! Jist read the title of the thread again and it says the first CD you owned, not bought. My Mum got me the Men In Black and Godzilla sountracks with my first CD player. Come With Me by Puff Daddy featuring Jimmy Page...hmm.

Not exactly, they roped in Jimmy Page (HOW?) to play the guitar, and made a high budget movie tied-in video clip. But yeah, the riff is based on Kashmir, of course. I thought it was an awesome song when I was 13, but then I had no idea of Kashmir or Zepplin then.

Sadly, my sister and I received a stereo for Christmas one year and Mum got us Bewitched and Steps as albums. Maybe I got South Park - Chef Aid. Not sure.
But the first album I bought myself was Limp Bizkit - Chocolate Starfish and the Hotdog Flavoured Water. What a kickarse album for a twelve year old.

The first album I bought with my pocket money was a vynil at budget store. I would have been 8 or so and it was a Beatles album, I can't remember which one, it may have even been a compilation.
Then in the cassette days, I first dubbed Nirvana's Nevermind, the Offspring's Smash and Green Day's Dookie from a mate. First cassette I bought was Nirvana's Incesticide.
When I finally got a cd player, the first cd I bought was The Presidents of the United States of America's II. They can't all be winners.

LARZ, you are a God among men, either way.
Oh, and on the cover of Dangerous, if you look hard enough you can spot Macauley Culkin, who was Jacko's child friend at the time. Creepy cover that one.
