Stargate Games

Apparently a new Stargate game is in the works, Stargate Resistance (http://www.stargateresistance.com/)slated for the first quarter 2010, made by the same people that are making Stargate Worlds (http://www.stargateworlds.com/), the Stargate MMO. From an article I read on Gateworld (http://www.gateworld.net/news/2009/12/firesky-announces-stargate-resistance-video-game/), the reason this game is coming out before Worlds is to try and generate some cash flow to help with the development of Stargate Worlds.

What's people's thoughts on this? Is anybody still interested in Stargate games? Or will it all fall in a hole like Stargate Alliance did?

I would love a decent Stargate game, that looks pretty terrible though.

I had thought that the MMO was cancelled.

Good luck with trying to find market share against the upcoming Star Trek and SW MMO's.

Looking at the developer’s page, I think these two games are their first.

Tackling a MMO is always going to challenging, even if you have a highly talented team. I think that doing it as one of your first games is probably a bad idea. See Hell Gate London.
