Yes, it was a huge disappointment. But the general idea of the game is still one of the most innovative things I've seen in gaming.

Yeah, who cares? It got no recognition last year so I think it deserves some this year:D

Turning RPG through to FPS. Why we don't have more of these games is beyond me, thankfully it's here to bridge the wait window between Invisible War and Deus Ex 3.

That 30 second RPG game looked pretty cool, but I didn't get a chance to play it. So I'm a say Scribblenauts.

Half Minute Hero? Yeah, I wanna play that too. When's the Aus release?

Yeah, who cares? It got no recognition last year so I think it deserves some this year:D

We can do that now?

In that case, I vote Super Mario Bros 3! :D

Turned out to be more toy than game, but you've still got to give it props for what it was.

Can i say Batman Arkham Asylum for innovating the way licensed games are developed, ie, with care and respect.

A brilliant concept that seems obvious, but had never before been attempted, let alone achieved.

Sure, after a couple of hours it was boring as hell, but for those hours all you can do is alternate between laughing and saying "holy shit, they even put that in?"

Batman Arkham Asylum

Innovative gameplay and design.

Also honurable mention to Another Code R Journey into Lost memories, didn't get an AU release, but this game had some brilliant uses of the Wiimote in the puzzle designs, more people need to play this game!

It didn't really work out in the end but thumbs up for trying something new that could work better in the future with some fine tuning.

Scribblenauts was the most innovative idea, although the innovation was marred by its shoddy game play mechanics.

Runner up vote for Half Minute Hero. I haven't even played the game (yet) but I can tell that the idea is innovative.

The potential that the Wii Motion Plus has is staggering. Here's hoping Nintendo don't drop the ball. Again.

Half Minute Hero. If you actually get to play it, all of the 5 mini games in one are all compelling and take away the grind from traditional RPG's :D

Maybe he's saying that Metroid titles don't have stealth sections and 360 degree melee combat, so mixing all of that with the Metroid formula = innovation. :p

I think the innovative idea hooked everyone, and some of the fun and wonderment that could come from it allowed you to overlook the inherent gameplay problems.
