That Daniel guy (whoever that is) didn't make it so I'm taking matter into my own hands.

Keep your posts clean and to the point. If you would like your comments to appear in the magazine, too bad comments from this section will not appear in the magzine, please keep comments to under 100 words.

The Reader's Game of the Year special will appear in issue 198, however this category will not be included as story is not something people care about in videogames.

Batman: AA -- the only game this year where I sat through the credits to find who wrote it.

EDIT: uncharted 2 runs a close second

BlazBlue, solely because its plot is a direct knock-off of the plot of Radiant Silvergun.

I'm tempted to vote NSMBWii, because the story in that is genius :p , but I'm going to vote for Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, for bringing Polos back into fashion, and The Beatles: Rock Band, because it did a wonderful job of charting their magnificent career in the Career Mode. Watching them age and mature both physically and as songwriters was a joy.

This isn't a category that we'll be including in the magazine, so votes here won't really count towards anything. But hey, knock your socks off.

why not? is the magazine page layout or whatever already in place?

uncharted 2 for making me shed a tear during the closing scene.

So make the thread
I did, but it needs "approval" or some bullshit, and the fascist mods won't approve it.

Persona 4

Most interesting storyline I played through in 2009, the whole murder mystery wrapped in a JRPG, awesome stuff.

Persona 4 / Dragon Age: Origins / Cryostasis

Three outstanding stories, three outstanding games.

Also, I think this is an exceptionally important category - why not include it in the magazine in some form?

Your playing in a movie. Keeps you sucked in. Every game needs a great storyline. To me its the most important thing in a game.

50 Cent, having just finished his concert in a unnamed middle-eastern country while wearing live grenades and ammunition, finds out that the organisers are yet to pay him his $10mil fee. 50 accepts, as collateral, a diamond-encrusted skull which is promptly stolen from him by woman with a completely believeable accent. 50 then decides to pursue the skull, which leads him on a journey of self-discovery where you, in the shoes of 50 Cent A.K.A Ferrari F-50, get to shoot people in the face, shoot at helicopters, swear profusely, meet the believable and realistically protrayed locals, shoot at helicopters, make things explode, listen to appropriate and haunting music and shoot at more helicopters. All the while you spend your time with a well-scripted and not-at-all-pathetically-needy sidekick. The plot takes you throughout the unnamed locale, with incredibly original plot twists throughout and a completely believeable ending that makes more sense the more you think about it.

Ladies and Gentlemen, your story of the year for 2009 is 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand.
