In short, a co-op zombie shooter based on the UT 2004 engine. Not as polished as L4D, but I'm a big fan of the tone, the perk system and the weaponry. Pretty engaging little title, and considering the price and the ongoing support from the developer, well worth the bucks IMO.

Came out recently at retail, but it's been available on Steam since May (and is currently on sale).

Couldve sworn there was a thread for this, no matter, the more people playing the better! I stopped playing because I couldn't convince my cheap ass friends to buy it. There's been some great new maps released, and hell, I even bought the dlc just to support the devs.

I just wish they'd make more bosses.

A quick reminder - this is on sale again (US$5) in the last day of the Steam Holiday sales.

I went dangerously close to reaching level 6 Commando over the weekend - probably looking to clock that later today. Really loving the new set of maps too, with the mapping comp winner Icebreaker probably edging out the competition as the best of the latest additions on its point of difference.

I remember seeing this at JB last week for something like $20 - $30 and being interested in it. I'd heard some good stuff about it.

Definitely worth picking up man - I'm still playing it, and it came out in May last year.

That said, depending on the price, it may be cheaper to pick it up on Steam for US$19.99, considering we're pretty close to parity with the US dollar at the moment.

I've been playing Firebug of late (up to level 5 on the perk) - really great survivability against masses of smaller Zeds, but you can run into trouble if you get ambushed by the heavy hitters (scrakes/Fleshpounds).
