Surrealism is ok, good for a laugh but seems a mite cliched in this day and age.

For me though, if I stroked my neckbeard long enough, I'd have to say that it is a tie between Dada and Futurism.

They both co-existed in the same time period but were poles apart in artistic representation. Plus, Futurism art is frickin awesome and includes the square pictury painting things and sculptures and other stuff.

I'm just going to chuck up some samples of Futurism art and not worry about who or when, just look at it.

Futurism is pretty swell as a precursor to Art Deco (the one I've got a boner for). I also like Impressionism a huge amount, but you have to go to galleries and exhibitions and shit. I like Art Deco because I can just walk around the city and find some.
