This is probably the wrong forum to be asking this, but what sports do you geekazoids (c.1999) play? Tell me something interesting about them - why do you do it, how seriously do you take it, are you any good?

I did play soccer for 12 years, and then quit in HSC year, considering going back to it.
Best damn defender/sweeper in the district. Sure, I had really average ball skills, could only do the most basic of ball tricks, but strikers almost never got past me, and I could shoot for goal from halfway, so I still had my place.
And this is club soccer, no pussyfoot diving going on here.

Only one I play at the moment is indoor soccer. Not too great at it, though I am a decent goalkeeper.
Big fat zero sport from me. I enjoy going for runs on occasion, and I'm a badass skiier, but neither of those really count.

My dad was among the best tennis players in the state back in his day so I figured I'd give tennis a try, I played it for two years. My dad was good at every sport he tried, he was good at cricket and golf too. My grandfather forbid him from playing rugby league though, assumedly because he himself was a good player (fullback) and had to have a lot of knee surgeries.
Currently play cricket and basketball

At the moment I play footy (Aussie Rules) and touch footy relatively seriously and am in a mixed social hockey team as well.
I have retired. I miss it all terribly (especially footy), but my knees just won't do it anymore. I don't miss spending three days recovering, which is what the last 5 or 6 years of playing footy were like. Turning up for Tuesday training and maybe walking a few laps bouncing the ball, haha.
I still occasionally play cricket when my brother needs someone to fill in, but I am enjoying having at least half of my Saturdays back.

Wait, wasn't there another thread with this subject? Anyway I play basketball and go for a bi-weekly run as well. I've been working on my vertical leap of late my ultimate goal is to dunk the ball by the end of the year.
I have a long way to go...

I play;
Indoor Soccer - Just started this year, after losing 11 - 1 in first game and 2 - 1 in the second game, I think maybe next time it will be a draw or a win :D
Outdoor Soccer - Started playing last year, in that year I got 2nd highest goal scorer on the left wing. Only left footer on my team :D.
Basketball - Been playing for 11 years now, never tried out for state, but thought I was better then my mates who got in.
Tennis - Play socially, have a killer backhand and can run for drop shots. Need to work on other techniques though.
I can play other sports to, but this is what I play regularly. Some golf thrown in every now and then too.
And I don't consider dancing to be a sport, but I do Hip hop and Acro. I think I've shown my video of wall flips and stuff. Won several comps with my troupe and placed in others. Good fun, I just don't have the time for it with Tafe now :(

Aside from backyard sports (backyard cricket etc), nothing. I used to do kickboxing (our club trained a couple of K1 fighters) and it was a lot of fun but that only lasted a year. Now I just swim to stay fit.

I play Cricket in summer and do BMX, Skating and Scooters at a social level. :D
Played cricket ever since I was about 10, now play in a Grade comp, captaining the team for a season. Fairly competent top order batsman, and one of the top wicketkeepers in the Grade.
