Demo Decay Revolution

Sony have patented a system for game demos (http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/sony-patents-degradable-demos), by which gamers get the full release but it degrades over time until you can't play it anymore.

Essentially it's exactly like their full releases then, but you don't have to pay for it.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say Sony may have patented something they will never use, either that or there is a very specific game demo they are planning for this.

It's actually a pretty good and somehow obvious idea, but more likely to be used with PSN games than full releases (at least until such downloads are common, which won't be for ages on PS3...)
