**** me Emil is such a little bitch. Looks like a girl, not that it's a change for JRPGs. Always saying "Sorry" and Marta saying she loves Emil all the time. Ugh.

I am enjoying it (in a forced kind of way), as I loved Symphonia on Gamecube.

The world map is now just a menu of locations you can travel to and control during battle felt better on Symphonia.

Monsters are now recruitable, they can fight with you and gain exp.

Cooking is for monsters only now. You can cook them one meal each time they gain a level and it will increase their stats.

You need to talk to the cat person to now get side quests They're listed and are generic ones like finding an item or killing some creature. You get wisped away to the location of the quest and can't save until you finish or fail it.

Anyone played it?

WTF is with Lloyd, he's being such a dick.

It's good if you're a fan of the first game, but ultimately all the lovey dovey shit ruined it. Especially since I gunned the game and got the super perfect extra happy ending.

Monster rearing is kinda fun, they evolve like pokemon and their final forms usually kick some ass. Skits are good value too. Rest of it is pretty average.

Finished it months ago, it was decent enough. I kinda enjoyed raising some badass monsters to fight with me, and Marta and that talking dog were kinda cool. Overall it wasn't a patch on ToS... Needed more Sheena, imo.

The best part was when Sheena inadvertently revealed she had a crush on Lloyd and got all flustered.

I'm slowly making my way through it at the moment ... I'm enjoying it, but mainly because I was a fan of the GCN game. Whenever Symphonia party members join up I fight with them even though they dont earn exp and hence my monsters fall behind ... because its more awesome fighting with the characters :p

See, there's the difference between a 'JRPG' and a real RPG. If the annoying bitch (Aerie) pisses you off, you can tell her to shut up, tease her for losing her useless wings, kick her out of your party and/or kill her adoptive family.

you don't even need text any more, just the fact that you've posted in a jrpg thread tells us everything we need.

I started to question if I was a gamer because all my games were stolen in a break i and I hadn't played for a long time. My brother got this game for christmas and I fan girl cried with joy (literally cried) and hence i'm back on here.

Well hi there Mia!

As for this game? I had some trouble defeating the final boss but the ending was allright I suppose.

Best scene was the hotspring by far. :D

Played this for a bit, and hated it. I know I'm supposed to be like the hardcore weaboo fag JRPG lover here, but honestly, this game is terrible.

Ah well, you can only digest so much of the one thing before you get bored.
I hate to ask the question, but would you have loved this game if you had played it seven years ago? Or is it just poorly designed in your opinion?
