The reputation system has been enabled so that you can leave feedback on posts and let others users know your approval or disapproval. However all the rules and guidelines regarding the content of posts also apply to reputation messages.
If you have been left a reputation message that contravenes the rules and guidelines please report it to a moderator so that we can follow up on it.
Below is some more detailed information and guidelines on the specifics of the Reputation System:
Opting in / Out
By default all users are opted in to the Reputation System. However at any time you can opt out. Others can still leave comments for you, but they will not be displayed.
You can toggle the display of reputation in your User CP.
Content of Reputation Comments
Try and keep messages constructive and fun. Reputation comments are perfect for light remarks which don't fit in a thread or a PM.
Images should be used sparingly. Just because you can include an image in a reputation comment, doesn't mean that you should. Overuse of images in comments is classified as harassment if the recipient has asked not to have them.
Avoid strongly negative comments. Often comments that would seem ok in a public setting take on a different impact when used in a private system such as reputation.
Reputation Points Display
User Reputation scores are displayed under posts. This may be changed in the future.
Reputation Parameters
These values affect how reputation scores and reputation comments work.
Reputation Power: Each user has the same reputation power, which adds or deducts only 1 point for each comment. To add or remove reputation points you need at least 0 reputation score and 5 posts.
Default Reputation: Every user starts with 10 reputation points.
Daily Reputation Click Limit: You can leave up to 15 reputation comments in a 24 hour period.
Reputation User Spread: You must give reputation to 5 different users before you can give reputation to someone again.
If you have been left a reputation message that contravenes the rules and guidelines please report it to a moderator so that we can follow up on it.
