ITT: Aran gets it all wrong again. Like the Pokemon thread.

I likes me some charity games. Already got Aquaria on release (and still haven't played it longer than a few hours >_>), but the others are new for me. I parted with $20US for them, ****ing bargain. I hope none of you cheapskates took them for nothing! :P

How long does the "Pay what you like" deal go for?

How long does the "Pay what you like" deal go for?

Check out the link.

It looks like some of the games are going open source, though may require compiling. WoG will not be OS though.

Currently going by the timer it's been extended another three days though for the whole package ready to go in any format(s) you want (you can DL for every platform if you so choose with the one time payment).

Also:

It looks like this was an overwhelming success considering. $1,096,736 USD was spent and $339,586 of that went to charity.

Now I wonder how 2D Boy will respond considering their rather negative experience with a past project like this and their exaggerated piracy numbers.

Also worth noting is that they added one of those surreal flash find-the-hotspot games.

Does this mean I don't have to pay anything for it?

Cos I hate dying children or charities or whatever

Yeah I went $20, with a 50/50 split, though I already owned World of Goo. Haven't really played any of them yet but looking forward to wasting time at work with them. :p

I also went 50/50, been playing a bit of Lugaru HD, it's actually pretty fun.

I couldn't get into that, it was just weird! World of Goo is pretty incredible. :D

And what if they amount I choose to pay is..... zero?

Tried getting into Lugaru, but really couldn't.

Everything else is really good, though Gish is pretty frickin hard.

Also, if anyone has sound problems with Gish I have a fix.

Download the demo of Gish (just google it)
Install it
Copy the OpenAL32.dll file from the demo install to the extracted Gish folder from the bundle.
Enjoy sound.

I had issues on Win7 x64 with an Auzentech X-Fi Prelude and this fixed it. Just a heads up

To make things interesting they should kill one child for every ten people who don't buy this.

Then I'm not going to buy 100 copies!

A new one of these has just dropped. 5 games from the one developer, but one is basically a prototype of a game that never got off the ground and another is still in development.

There's a potatoe sack bundle on steam for cheap. I grabbed it for killing floor.
