I've been following Bit.Trip Runner since around GDC, it looks great. I figured since it just hit WiiWare yesterday I'd create a thread about it.
Unfortunately I can't afford to pick it up right now, but plan to grab it next weekend. So someone grab it and tell me how great it is. >_>
Looks awesome, kind of like Vib Ribbon but with Rez's player-influenced music.

I liked the trailer music but level one not so much.

I'll grab the demo first and see what I think.

Got it. I really like it for the most part. It can be pretty damn hard, the boss of Zone 1 has taken me I don't know how many attempts, and I still haven't gotten through it. All it takes is one mistake and you're back at the start of the level.
It feels a bit like Trials HD in that regard; at times it's somewhat demanding in terms of timing/precision and if you stuff up it's back to the start (at least, I used to restart the entire course in Trials HD if I messed up) - the trouble is the basic music loop that each level begins with can get quite grating upon restart after restart (wasn't really a problem until the last couple of levels/boss of Zone 1). Even so, the game manages to be pretty addictive.

This game is addictive as hell, I find myself entranced by it at times. It's pretty short, though - I'm almost finished.
Either way, highly recommended, as long as you're willing to put up with constant failure followed by sweet, sweet success. :P
