I'm pretty impressed that they have implemented 3D into Killzone 3, the environments are larger, there is more detail and it still has a rock solid framerate.

PS:- If Wipeout HD can run at 60fps in 3D mode, I guess the PS3 really can render 120fps.

Killzone 2's single player didn't do much for me, but I really binged on the multiplayer around release - highly underrated multiplayer.

Agreed regarding current 3D tech. Who really cares about 3D in gaming as of today anyway. I know Im not getting excited for at least a few years yet.

I think depth perception can add a lot to games, especially to platformers where jumps are hard to judge.

What a disappointing game! I was so ready for some awesome PS3 FPS action but Killzone 2 is terrible. Awful controls. Awful story. Awful characters. Awful enemies. I'm about 2 or 3 hours into the game, not that far, but I still have no idea whats going on.

So far its just endless streams of grey enemies who look like they're wearing matresses. The graphics are seriously unappealing but anything looks good on a technical level when it is drowned in motion blur and particle effects.

Really turned off at the moment but I'll try again tomorrow... I just can't stomach any more today. I can't believe reviewers were raving about it. Just thinking about the controls is giving me the shits.

Oh and the A.I. is terrible. On a few occassions I've had enemies actually STANDING NEXT TO ME as they shoot my squad. Enemies just get out of cover and start walking around too.

And has anyone else noticed that its almost like you can see A.I. computing? When you destroy their cover they just stand up, walk 2 steps to the left (or right) and stand still before suddenly (hilariously) diving for cover that had been next to them the entire time...

Sounds like the multiplayer has improved - which is the only thing I really care about with Killzone (rare for me) - and the campaign is more varied but has lost some of Killzone 2's identity. Guess whether I purchase it or not will balance on what I think of the multiplayer demo.

The only time I disliked him was when he did the initial Kinect Quicklook. He and Ryan were far too ****ing fat to be demonstrating Kinect to the public.

A few annoying things about the game:

- In Warzone mode there is some spawn camping (largely avoidable if your team has a good Tactician or two). Need to have more tactical spawn points or two starting spawn points per team.
- Marksmen's cloak is a bit too good, especially coupled with an assault rifle (changing the assault rifle to a semi automatic or a SMG would improve it). Corner trolls are ****s.
- Medic's revive cool down period is too long and the range is too short (this is getting fixed next patch).

Latest patch has made Medics heaps more effective. The stamina and sprint buffs for everyone work really well too.

I felt a bit that way after Black Ops. Online multi in this is quite different and, I would say, much more fun.

If anyone gets the urge to check it out there are some youtube vids with commentary which do a good job of summing up the pros and cons. The NextGenTactics videos are from beta but the commentary is good.

If you own a PS3 you should own this game. It's truly excellent. Go and buy/hire it and give it a good chance. Steep learning curve if you prefer your fps games like COD, but it is well worth investing some time in.
