Enough said. I knew I made the right choice by grabbing an old elite rather than a 1st generation machine.
Here we go again LOL

You should probably read the explantion he wrote as to why its sitting on an older XBOX >_>
Also, in case other people comment without watching the link its not a RROD (or GDOD), the unit is simple not receiving power and won't fire up.
that'd just get in the way of blind attempts at logical thinking without knowing the facts!

Without looking at the link let me guess: white trash oafs who probably dragged the xbox behind the horse and cart from the shop and played hackysack with it before firing it up.
Call back when there is a definite pattern of similar failure on a global basis thanks.
Not moving it while the disc is spinning isn't exactly a new thing. Was an issue with original 360's, and I reckon just generally inadvisable with most consoles and disc devices.

Aside from the MOVING AN OBJECT THAT CONTAINS A RAPIDLY SPINNING DISC "problem", MS honestly seem to have solved a lot of issues just by looking at the specs. I won't be buying as I don't need or want Kinect and wireless, plus the original looks better anyway.

Ok, since I bought my xbox I've moved it zero times since installation; ergo, what the hell.

Are you being sarcastic? I can't tell and my inner scientist/nerd is aching to explain it. >_>

Sarcasm.
Paraphrasing ICP's "Miracles".
I passed 7th form physics and understand rotational motion, don't worry.
So is it worth getting a slim for $150 more than an elite? Someone answer for me : (

What the shit is the deal with this 'Kinect ready' crap? What the shit do you have to do to the 'old' 360's for it to work? Buy a $120 MS dongle thing?
Lazlow
26-06-2010, 12:46 AM
IIRC it essentially means the unit can power the kinect system. With old XBOX 360s you'll have to use the power supply that comes with Kinect.

Oh gawd, that is so a feature worth touting about on the new system, yay :|
