I, for one, would welcome a return to this series. I loved PGR4, and it still holds up well today IMO. The only potential negative is that it wont be developed by Bizarre Creations.

Turn 10 anyone?? I know the article points to SUMO Digital, but......

I cant believe its been three years already since PGR4. I think its a massive shame that such a wonderful series has been in hiatus for that time with nothing known as to what direction the series would take. Turn Ten would be okay but would love to see a PGR5 done by Bizzare (yeah i know its not going to happen but it doesnt stop me wishing so).

Sumo digital angle looks promising.

I think Forza, and games like Blur and Split Second have kind of made the series abit irrelevant, I haven't played the 360 games but PGR2 was really good.

I dont agree, Forza is a racer but with tuning and painting (which PGR doesnt have) and Blur/Split Second have powerups/nitrous/boost etc (which PGR also doesnt have). Not just that but the awesome graphics, the ability to jump in a fantastic car (not some shitbox hatchback) and just race around some great street circuits without some dumbass storyline and other superficial bullshit was the real appeal of the PGR series for me.

Im a fan of PGR2 for me it just shades PGR4 as the best of the series, I dont really understand the hate for PGR4, for me its one of the most underrated racing games of all time.

I found it boring to be honest, it sat in some dull middle ground between sim and arcade. It didn't have the depth to appeal to my sim-nut sensibilities, and it wasn't batshit insane enough to appeal to me as an arcade racer.

See, these were the exact reasons I loved it, because it's a nice middle ground between the realistic and the crazy. I'm too lazy to get into a sim, and I lose interest too quickly in wackyracers, but pgr sat perfectly between them for me.

I can respect that opinion, but I'm with Laz in that I found it far too easy because of the basic physics model.
