Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception

If it's possible to back up a minute here, it's worth noting that David Heron recently called Uncharted 3 one of the biggest let-downs of the current generation (or something along those lines) on the last GWJ podcast, and then went on to absolutely knock it out of the park with how clearly he articulated his rationale. It's really the sort of constructive criticism that is needed here, as opposed to the often blinkered, inflammatory examples of self-perceived messiahic ownership of what gaming is and isn't allowed to be that mas mostly muddied the discourse and forced fans to build suits of troll armor so thick that, honestly, they're kind of hard to clearly see through themselves.

I really didn't like this game. To me the gameplay seemed like more of the same from the other two games. The thing that kept me interested for a while was the story, but that really fell down for me too. After enjoying Drake's Fortune and Among Thieves so much this is a big let down.

How can a game with such loose controls be rated so highly?

The shooting and cover system is terrible especially compared to Gears of War (I mean the 2006 first game, to compare to the perfected mechanics of the third game would be ridiculous)

Platforms is a joke, I just jump around until I latch onto something.
