PS3 HD Trilogies and Re-Releases

I'll be picking up the Tomb Raider trilogy for PS3 for sure (even though I have two of the three games already on 360).

More and more HD re-releases seem to be popping up on the PS3, but strangely not on 360?

Anyway, what games series would you like to see re-released?

Thought this thread would be useful to keep track of the various combo re-releases.

So far for PS3 there is:


-Prince of Persia Trilogy
-Tomb Raider Trilogy
-Splinter Cell Trilogy
-Sly Racoon Trilogy
-God of War double
-Team Ico double (Shadow and ICO)


Any others?

As for future possible re-releases Silent Hill and Metal Gear get a vote, as do obvious choices Ratchet and Clank and Jak and Daxter. I may be tempted by the POP trilogy (at the right price) even though I already have the Prince trilogy pack for PS2.

Some of these may be on 360 as well, I've seen some listings for pre-orders at Zavvi, but I would not buy any of them seeing as are listed for Smarch 2012, and some sites are saying they will not be on 360.

I can get behind these re-releases as long as the ports aren't lazy. I was really pleased with how the God of War Collection turned out with trophy support, some improved textures and a stronger framerate. Hopefully Konami do a good job of the Zone of the Enders re-release. The 2nd Runner was an extremely fun game (Zero Shift was so great) and was one of the PS2's best looking titles, I hope it looks even better in the transition to HD. I'd love to see it running at 60fps with no drops, I would have to think that is possible.

Wish we'd see a port of Shattered Memories for the Move included in the Silent Hill HD collection, I'd probably buy a Move for that.

It was a colloboration between Nintendo and Konami, which is probably why we haven't seen it get a re-release again .. a shame since it would be nice to see this version in HD ... :/

Just read that Resident Evil 4 and Resi Code Veronica are both coming to Xlive and PSN as HD download games.

So the same games, but will display properly in HD, no horrible lines.

I've just been playing Resi 4 again on PS2 after finishing #5 on 360 and was considering buying the Gamecube or Wii version so it will look better on my HD TV, but man I don't want to play with the stupid motion controls on Wii, even though it's technically the best version of Resi 4, so I'll be getting the download version in the future.

I don't know what version of Resi 4 is coming, hopefully the most complete version with Ada Missions, all the weapons and costumes and Mercenaries etc. Anything less would just be lazy. Why Would anyone want vanilla Resi 4 without all the tasty extras from the previous re-releases?

I can understand them re-releasing Resi 4 yet again, because it's still an amazing game - but Code Veronica, WTF?

And while I'm here, can anyone tell me why the hell Jill in Resi 5 has blonde hair? Dye job I guess, but it makes no sense when it was also blonde in the flashback. Was she also the master of secret dye jobs in between zombie slaying in the mansion?

What version of Resident Evil 4 is coming?

Finally read some details confirming that the dowload version of Resi 4 with be a super deluxe royal with cheese edition.

That means it includes basically all the bonus content and gameplay modes from the previous releases, making this the best version.

I don't think it has PS Move support though.

Sometimes I dream I still own it.

My Saturn still works, and I've almost bought GH on ebay a couple of times last year, but I already have like four games machines connected to my TV, plus two other non-gaming machines, there's no room for the Saturn!

I've been hoping for some sort of re-release for about ten years now, finally it's happened. Still the best side scrolling beat em ever made, nothing else even compares and that's not nostalgia, I still play beat em ups all the time on emulators etc.

If you put AVP, Battle Circuit, Final Fight, Streets of Rage, River City Ransom, Double Dragon, Knights of the Round, Cadillacs and Dinosaurs and friends all into a magical blender, they would still only be HALF as a good as Guardian Heroes.

I have the Ico - Shadow and The Tomb Raider HD remixes. Was a lil disappointed with Tomb Raider HD tbh.

These are pretty much the only ones i want anyway.

For the 360 i got the Devil May Cry collection

I don't find these as an awesome idea as well lets be honest its a cash in, not like they do anything to the game other than upscale the resolution, it would be better to see a proper remake, i also find with some the collections the cut scenes look terrible (Esspecially of older games) they could have atleast fixed those. But for people like me that missed out on many of these games its great. sadly all my PS2 games were taken by my father so getting these collections is the only way i can enjoy these games now as i have no way of getting the games or know where they are.

I have the God of War PSP collection, the Tomb Raider trilogy, the Prince of Persia trilogy, DMC collection and will be picking up ZOE, Metal Gear Solid and Silent Hill collections soon-ish. Just ordered ICO + Shadow HD which is one of the best in the various collections (not a lazy port!)

All are basically games I already own (except the PSP exclusive God of War games) and I don't mind buying them again, most of them have been pretty cheap.

The Ratchet & Clank Trilogy is one of the best purchases I've ever made. The package as a whole is fairly sound up until the third game where things begin to fall through; most notably the fly by sound effects in the loading screens playing the wrong sound for each shot. E.g. the doppler sound switched with the entering orbit sound, etc.
