Just noticed, anyone with 7HD should be watching Conan the Barbarian right about now.
Followed by Conan the Destroyer.
Gladiators and Rove on tonight. Not bad viewing, at least hopefully. I know many people hate Rove, but we've been there done that. In actualy fact, I mainly watch for Pete, Ryan, and Hamish (but not Andy - he is just shit).

I'd take Mean Girls any day over My Best Friend's Wedding.
Most people under 30 would I'd believe.
Tonight my pathetically sad self comes out to play when a group of people come over to watch Greys Anatomy together, and proceed to talk about absolutely nothing of importance after.

There's Perfect Blue on SBS 12.50am on Friday too. Another stupid timeslot for another great anime (like GITS SAC)

OMG that was him?
I remember watching that show and when someone got eliminated, he would whisper "We have to go now" and I'd think "Geez this guy is a massive tosser." But aside from that he was a really good host. :P

Man, the Oasis is ****ing depressing :(
Yeah I watched that last week as well. As sad as it was to see the state that some people live in it was very inspiring to see that man and his wife devote so much love and care to people whom almost no one else would. As much as I know about poverty in Australia...I didn't know how horrendous it was. One scene stood out for me. It was where that young homeless girl rings up inquiring about a drug rehabilitation program and they immediately ask her what she is doing and how much she's using...and then she reply's with a $600 a DAY Heroin habit! Holy mother of Buddha! That's...wow...a big habit. And to imagine how she's getting the money. :-(
Although the responsibility does come down to the individual, the fact that there's rich bastards making a great deal of money out of destroying communities and the people that live in them sickens me. Drugs are seriously so destructive, and the ramifications and consequences affect a lot more people than just the users themselves. Our health care system has to deal with it, police have to deal with it, and the indirect cost to us a reality.
I could rant on...though I won't! :-)

I caught this when it first came out a couple of years back. A very, very good movie. It highlighted an American political period that I didn't know too much about.
"We cannot defend freedom abroad by deserting it at home." - Edward. R Murrow
Are politicians not versed in world history...or the history of their own country!? Will people keep repeating the same mistakes?
Anyway ABC on Wednesday nights is back to an awesome one and a half hours of awesomeness from 8:30 till 10.
Spicks and Specks, The IT Crowd and The Armstrong and Miller show.
The Armstrong and Miller show is very good if no one has seen it yet. Here's a few of my favourite clips to get people warmed up! :-)

Event Horizon is such an awesome film, I was pissing myself laughing the whole way through it.
P.S I am one of those people that no matter how *freaky* a movie is it never seems to dawn on me that it is supposed to be scary, and, as a sadist ultra gore in films is just meh for me. I do enjoy scary films though as I can understand the view they take and most of them have very intriguing back stories.

SBS are essentially having a Kubrick retrospective throughout this week - from 2001 to Full Metal Jacket. Most start at 10pm - essential viewing for anybody who hasn't caught these classics.
