When I was playing, there was enough people playing to get a game going. It really acts like the old PSO in the way of lobby and game. You basically make a game that people choose from a list, then wait for 3 people to join and do missions from there. Uses online play, so no adhoc party required. I'm sure people will still be playing, the PSO/U community is pretty resilient.
