I hope projects such as this take off. An amateur tournament for Australian/Oceanic DotA 2 players was recently held which surprised me in how many teams participated and the quality of play from those teams. Not to forget that there are always players like mOOnGLaDe and those on Absolute Legends who show that Australia is quite capable of producing quality eSports competitors, even despite our internet situation.
We have the players, we just need the sponsors and the events. Now to see if enough people are willing to help fund the remaining $79,899.
