I love how the latest euphemism for "baseless rumour we can't back up" in gurnalism is "report".

Such as here: "Thief 4 to be launch games for next gen consoles: report"

True or not though, it would be an unreal launch game and sounds completely believable - if only because the total lack of knowledge about the game means there's no evidence to the contrary.
