(Can't believe no one's created a thread for this game.)
So Resistance 2 is coming and GameTrailers just dropped a World Exclusive Time Bomb Cinematic vid, which looks pretty cool. To be honest, I wasn't particularly enamoured with the first game for a variety of reasons. However, it looks at least like one of those reason will be rectified in the sequel (ie. Nathan Hale will actually say something) so that's rather promising. The visuals are looking very clean and crisp, as well. Will anyone else be vaguely interested in this game when it comes out in November? |

It looks pretty decent, however i will wait for a price drop, i have far too many other games to play over the coming 2 months. Graphics engine is very nice.

As a late PS3 adoptee, i only started playing Resistance this week. As far as R2 goes, its a "no" for me. I cant begin to express how disapointed i am with R1!

Collectors Edition pre-ordered a month ago.
Can't begin to describe how amazing this game looks when you are running around underneath one of the Goliath's in this sequel. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yHIFak_0TR8 |

In other news, there's a Collector's Edition. American-only, it seems. Wonder what the shipping is on that thing.

Whilst admittedly that appears to be an impressive set piece, that's a main problem I have with these scripted FPS; they'll have an impressive opening set piece but everything after seems mundane by comparison. Call of Duty 2 is certainly an example of this.

I just played through Resistance's campaign in co-op this past week, and really, the game's a blast...it's just not a world-beater. Visually it was dull and the story was flat. However, the weaponry was fantastic and the gameplay was generally tight and well-paced. Resistance 2 is in my top 3 most anticipated games right now (Gears 2, Resistance 2 and LBP), it's looking brilliant.
I signed up for the R2 public beta the other day, here's hoping I get a key.

That's interesting, because I'm looking forward to Killzone 2 a lot more than Resistance 2 (even though it's coming out over three months later). I just think it's a more compelling universe than the one presented in Resistance, so far. Maybe that'll change with this sequel.

I quite liked the the setting and general plot of Resistance, the way it was presented just left a lot to be desired. Resistance was a much better game than Killzone, so my anticipation for Killzone's sequel is somewhat muted. Furthermore, Insomniac's probably one of my favourite developers.
