Hmm well i played the single for a while last night and i was really enjoying it. The graphics were really impressive when you come out of the building in level 2 with all the alien spacecraft flying around. However, the inside parts were fairly dreary.. It's a bit too soon to make a final desicion yet.
Lothar: What's your PSN tag? Are you interested in hooking up for a game? In fact anyone that's interested in hooking up for Resistance(even though we probably wont manage to get a game going) should hit me up. "antwandemarco". Cheers |

PSN is GameboffinAU. I returned my retail copy yesterday but have a review copy on its way in the mail. So I will be online later in the week most like. I don't have a mic but will be up for games.

I'll be playing this (with a mic) Friday, Saturday, Sunday nights for a at least a few weeks I'd say, so anyone who'll be playing add Spearro to your friends list. Antwan, I think your allready on my list, Its shameful we havent met up for a game yet.

Hey Spearro yeah i saw you on my list and yes i would be up for a game def if we can manage to get one going. Resistance is very hit and miss for me. I tell ya i was truly wowed by a boss i fought the other night. Some giant dude as tall as a building ripping the city to pieces, you have to shoot a bridge to crush him under rubble, one of the most enjoyable bosses (albeit a bit detached) i've fought in a while.

Question - if I say, thought the first game was a terrible piece of rubbish, what are my chances of liking this one? I really do like the sound of it, but what I played of first game had unwieldy controls, unsatisfying weapons that lacked any "oomph", disgustingly repetitive gameplay, and poor, unvaried level design - how much of an improvement is this game?

Trial and error?
It was a pattern based boss just like any of Insomniacs other platformer based bosses. Recognise the pattern and react accordingly, easy. WhyMe, stay away from R2 if you didn't like R1. |

Recognising the pattern is part of the "trial and error".

Trial and error generally means you end up dead, realize you're mistake and learn from it. This does not happen in Resistance 2.
