Default Recommend me a region free Blu-Ray player

Okay so I have a region free DVD player, and now a PS3. But now I want a region free Blu-Ray player at some point seeing as there is already films I want that are either (a) not released here on Blu-Ray or (b)released in US, but region locked.

So recommend a region free Blu Ray player!

Name brands such as Pioneer, Panasonic, etc BR players aren't sold Region ALL (Region Free) for BR movies (although they may let you play DVDs from different regions). They have to be modded or you might have to import a modded BR player (which probably void your warranty and possibly any repairs out of your voided warranty period).

The only standalone BR players I have heard that are region free are the Kogan and Soniq (by entering a code from the region of BR movie you want to play).

If you ever find a standalone region free BR player that doesn't require a code or modding, post it here.

So do you have to input an unlock code EVERY time you fire up a foreign Blu-Ray or just the one time for those no name brand machines you mentioned?

The only blu-ray player I know that's region free are ones that have to be modded first, like an Oppo player, you import & buy it, then pay $70 or something for the parts. But in total it'd cost you around $600, the player isn't cheap (because its bloody awesome)

And if there was an input code so you could use a different region bluray it'd be a once only thing unless you update the firmware which resets whatever memory it had.
